That really got slammed by critics; was it that bad? _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Seeing Metallic Blaze's post raises a general question... What is the point of a Blue-Ray and DVD combo pack? Why would you need both? I don't own a blue ray player, but aren't they just more-or-less the next generation of the basic dvd? Anyone have a legitimate explaination, aside from "marketing gimmick"? _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

One day everyone will have a Blu-Ray player. This way, you just have to buy the movie once, instead of buying a DVD now, and a Blu-Ray later. |

Anyone have a legitimate explaination, aside from "marketing gimmick"? Just a marketing gimmick me thinks. By the way, I don't have a blueray player either. I just posted that when it came up in google. Whoops. Heheh.

But I also think it is becasue some people have several DVD player (kids room, the car etc.), but only 1 Blue-Ray player, yet. So this way you get to see the movie where ever it suits you. _________________ | |

| Still watching Midnight Meat Train. Even though I've already seen it 4 times it still creeps me out because the main character has no idea what's happening. Having already seen it might almost be worse because I know what's coming up. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Seriously, if you want to see a horror movie where you'll have no idea where it's going (and you can handle a lot of gore), give MMT a look. Clive Barker is my favorite horror author; he sure comes up with some warped ideas. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Attack of the Clones. Leaving aside the usual problems cited with this movie, one thing I noticed this time is that the massive jedi battle at the end is oddly unsatisfying. The idea of tons of guys wielding lightsabers sounds cool but it looks flat when it's actually happening. Might be because the lightsabers don't appear to have any real heft to them, so you don't get the kind of physicality a good swordfight should have. | |
