What can i say, I really like the bands I grew up on.

Eh, Slayer is SUPER overrated to me. Angel of Death is a good song but come on....Satanic lyrics CONSTANTLY. I just can't stand that, ughs. As for metal bands that are classic, popular metal bands....Megadeth. Megadeth has stayed closer to metal over the years (with some exceptions of course, but they DID get back on track, haha) and is still making REAL heavy metal.

I'm not saying they are the best metal band ever, just that of the more well known ones, Megadeth is better than Metallica in my opinion...although I HEARD that Metallica is gonna try and get back to doing the REAL METAL thing on their next album....but we'll see about that huh?

I've been saying this almost word for word for years.

"Show No Mercy" is still my favorite Slayer album.

Megadeth rule! Have seen them 4x over the years and they are better now than they have ever been IMO. (Although I still wish that Mustaine and Ellifson would patch things up.)

1st official metal ever is BALCK SABBATH !

Sacred Warrior (well at least they were consistent !)
Rez Band (they had the longevity but which band would show up? pop, techno, blues,metal????)

I guess that'd do it.... Oh Stryper... I like Stryper, but I wanted 10 songs like "Soliders...","The Rock That...","Loud N Clear","More than a Man"..... not all metal all the time...sigh... too much poppy stuff.... oh well...
