I have Danger Danger stuff and have always appreciated his style. That's the one thing some of these new young shredders miss out on is melody in their solos.
I agree there is a difference with being fast and being fast with melody as well. Some solos can be at hyper speed but at least add some melody to them. Random wankery is tasteless to me and really shows me nothing. I love technical players but they also have to have a sense when to slow it down and add some melody...

KIKO LOUREIRO - One of the newest guitar players I have really started to get into. Very crafty and almost has an originality to him when he plays. Tons of melody and he never seems to over do it when shredding.
