2009 NFL Season Thread

Like a bye week for the Vikings. Hard to believe Seattle was in the superbowl not too long ago.
Cowboys are driving me mad this year. All that talent and they can't score more then 7 points? Bad coaching and if you as me, Romo needs to prove he deserves to start.

I dont think any of the teams in the NFC East are all that good. The division winner may have a .500 record..

I know. Been hearing just about all season long how it's the toughest division in the league. More like the most overrated.

I am an Eagles fan and I think all the teams are overrated in the East..

No joke!!!!! Ugh - at least it was a win!!!!! I am so sick of the penalties - they are KILLING us!!! Plus, the loss at Green Bay was all on Roy Williams. He almost lost the game of us on Sunday too.

Yeah that helped out the Steelers even though they somehow blew it against the lowly Chiefs (crummy special teams and defensive breakdowns!)

It's so frustrating.

Every time I think I see signs of improvement (like our performance against New Orleans), the Rams go out and lay an egg against someone like Seattle. Granted we were without a lot of key players but still...

The lambs need better players, they can build it through the draft. They need to start with a quarterback and some receivers.

Yeah, I'm actually hoping the Lambs lose out so we can get the #1 pick. I think they either need to get someone for the interior D line or a wide receiver. They should only draft a QB if it's in the 3 round or later IMO; early QB drafts are just too problematic.

True - look at late round and un-drafted QB's that excel - Romo, Brady, the old Ram's QB Warner, Cassel, etc, etc.....

I agree. McNabb has been a huge success for a first round pick but if you look at the others in his draft class - akili smith, tim couch, mcnown - they didnt fare well...

LMAO!!!! I forgot about Ryan "Sweet" Leaf - I read he got busted for pot recently. Hmmm...... Ryan Leaf or Peyton Manning - talk about one of the most bone-headed draft decisions in history.

yep. if you dont get it right with a first round QB you can doom yourself. Although the Falcons sure have benefitted from Ryan and it looks like Stafford may be a good one too...
