Know mostly as a Goth/Grind band with violin (Solar Lovers, etc.). But this Netherlands band also made an EP that I really like called Sonic Orb, which is more like clean, melodic doom (still with the violin). Anyone know what became of them?

Goth/grind? It's been a while since I have them a listen (and I only own Solar Lovers), but I'd say they were more doom death, right?

"Goth/grind" "doom death"
Maybe this genre thing is getting out of hand.

Right I suppose. But it was their "crappy" cleaner stuff that I liked most.
