| I bailed on this "band". I like the first one but not the last two. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

I wonder why? All 3 of those rock! Probably because I've all but abandoned power metal. Scarecrow has been sitting on my desk here at work for almost 2 years now. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Scarecrow has been sitting on my desk here at work for almost 2 years now. Spin it again. Don't just use it for a drink coaster!

| Scarecrow barely falls under the power metal bracket, really. It's sort of like a bizarre strand of hard rock with symphonic tendencies. _________________ | |

| Yeah I seem to be the only one who doesn't like Scarecrow. I like Mellencamp's Scarecrow a lot better. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

You're not the only one. I said his way back on page 1... - Quote :
- I picked up Scarecrow for next to nothing when Circuit City was going out of business. I wasn't real familair with the band, but the names and guest vocalists intrigued me.
I gave it some spins, but I didn't like it at all. There were a few songs that were ok, (the Alice Cooper one comes to mind) but overall it was too much "opera" for me and not enough metal. The whole thing came of as a bad Andrew Lloyd Weber musical. I traded it away to SpectreFate, who I think buried it in a time capsule in his back yard for future generations who might appreciate it more than us nitwits.
More power to ya if you like this stuff, but not my thing at all. ...and I stand by it here on page 4. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

| That's funny. The Alice Cooper track was the only one I liked too. Glad to know I'm not alone in my disdain for that album Seems every board I visit everyone's a major fan. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

They were great for what they were, but so is Scarecrow for what it is. IMO, all 3 platters rule!

| I think it is hard to compare the first 2 and Scarecrow since the styles are very different. I like each for what it does. _________________ | |

| Avantasia is my second favorite band right after Pagan's Mind.
1. The Scarecrow 10/10 (EASILY their best album!!!)
2. The Metal Opera 3. Lost in Space (Pt. 1 & 2) 4. The Metal Opera II
Can't wait for their two new ones!!!

"The Scarecrow" is easily the best song on the album. The Alice Cooper song is actually my least favorite! They are all great songs though!! ALL KILLER - NO FILLER!!! My fave songs on "The Scarecrow": 1. The Scarecrow 2. Shelter from the Rain 3. Twisted Mind 4. What Kind of Love 5. Carry Me Over 6. Lost in Space 7. I Don't Believe in Your Love 8. Cry Just a Little 9. Another Angel Down all 9 of those songs are fantastic!! The only two songs that were mediocre and could have been left off the album were: 10. The Toy Master (with Alice Cooper) and 11. Devil in the Belfry
