If You Were To Release A Split CD...

...featuring two metal bands, possibly volume one of a series but not necessarily, what are some title suggestions you think would be cool. This would be similar to what Stormspell does with his Thrash Clash series, but without a focus on such a specific genre of metal. This one would encompass trad, thrash, power, etc. And again, it may not—which is more than likely—be a series. It'll probably just be a split between two bands, at least four songs a piece.

Any suggestions? This is a very serious question, by the way.

Let's put it this way. I'm helping someone put together a split CD. At the moment, two bands are interested, one has agreed. Contracts are being edited and such right now. One band is a newer thrash band from Brazil; the other is a recently reactivated American band that mixed thrash and heavy metal with a little progressive. They probably came a decade too late, but many consider them to be a classic old school metal band.

Hopefully it'll be a sweet split CD, as both bands' past material kicks ass! So be nice and help me out! Haha.

I was thinking of waiting until we get the tracklisting from each band, and then combining two songs to come up with a name. For instance, say one band has a song called "Inhuman," while the other includes a song called "Warfare." We could call it INHUMAN WARFARE. Something like that. But in the meantime, we're trying to compile a list of alternates.

Think of the name, and maybe you'll get a free copy of the CD? =)

If they are traditional thrash or power or whatever something like "Past Meets Present" or something like "The Past Is Back To Kick Your Ass" except not as lame.

I thought about something like that, since one is a newer band and one is an older band. Actually, that's probably not true. The Brazillian band released their debut EP in 1994, I believe, then disappeared until like 2004, or something like that. So they're not quite new; just most people haven't heard of them.

Both are killer bands. I was thinking about the world "alliance." Like calling it something like METAL ALLIANCE, or something less cheesy.

Aligning Forces? Hmmmm....me must think harder...or Unstoppable Force (s) (like the Agent Steel song)
