I bought this CD for $1...

Shoot, for a buck a pop, I'd buy the whole stack, and whichever ones I didn't like, I'd try and trade'em here.

Thought about that too...there's a lot of Metal there in the $1 bin besides what I listed...

I wish I had a local used place with a $1 bin. (sniff)

I've had occasional luck with the rinky-dink thrift store in my town (snagged Slayer's UNDISPUTED ATTITUDE for a buck there right before the Holidays) though... maybe I oughta visit there again sometime soon.

The Goodwill & thrift stores in my area all charge $3.99 for CD's...haha! I never found anything I wanted anyway...

The one I used to go to had stickers on them for $1.99 and $2.99, but I swear I never paid that much. When I got to the counter, the woman would look at the couple I had and say "Eh, gimme $5 bucks for all of em". I think she just made up prices to get them outta there.

Yeah, spinning Grip Inc now...digging it.

I was pleasantly surprised by Crystal Tears...female-fronted Power Metal...girl has a blend of Doro & Leather on the vocals (minus Leather's soaring Dio-isms)...nice, aggressive stuff!

Do you remember what Skinlab? Those guys started out with so much potential, then devolved into that nu-metal stuff. Their last album was heavier, but nothing like the first two. Bummer.

I recommend all Moonspell albums. Brilliant band.

The Eddie Ojeda album's not bad either. 'Specially for just a dollar.

I think I owned an Eden's Fall disc at one time (not the one Shawn has). I guess it did nothing for me though since I no longer have it.

Coincidentally, the Skinlab I saw in the bin was the Eyesore EP from 1998.

my goodwill is decent - its in a college town so its not the lousy stuff your used to seeing.. Its just been slim pickings lately..

I've made a few scores in that thrift shop over the past couple of years but it's feast or famine. I might find something one week, then it'll be months before something else turns up that's halfway decent.
