| Heaven and Hell is too small yet to have its own thread, but Dio isn't. I (as I have said many times before and will continue to say for many years to come) LOVE DIO!!!!!! Anyway, discuss away. Also, this includes Dio-Sabbath (Heaven and Hell, the Mob Rules, Live Evil, and Dehumanizer) so comment on them too. | |

| I much prefer the Dio eras of all the bands he's been involved with. I prefer Dio-era Sabbath to any other era. Same thing with Dio-era Rainbow. Even in his 60s, Dio can sing rings around most other singers out there. And I'm always amazed that such a powerful voice emanates from such a diminutive figure. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| That's part of the reason I love Dio; he just keeps belting out awesome stuff, although I do agree, Rainbow's stuff was awesome, but I'm more of a fan of the solos and lyrics (which is the only reason I listen to music) in the DIO era. But, it's all good really. I'd love anything Ronnie made, even if it was total garbage... Which will NEVER happen. | |

| Ever check out Astral Doors?
Their singer is a dead ringer for Dio. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I think Sabbath w/Dio should be it's own thread, separate from the solo work. |

I have to agree with this, Dio's solo career can stand on its own and has made an impact on metal. His band was a very important and successful band thru out most of the 80's.

| I was thinking that maybe we should finish the Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, and Iron Maiden thread before we start a discography thread on Dio, again that is up to you guys and Holy Diver who began this thread in the first place. | |

| Attention seekers of stuff: I believe also that Sabbath-Dio should have its own thread, I shall make it now... but, on the other hand, there's no Sabbath thread at all, so we can make it all of these? any suggestions, I'll take em. As for Dio's other works (Rainbow, Redcaps, Vegas Kings, Elf, etc.) they aren't necessarily metal, and that's not really my deal, so if anyone wants to, knock yourself out.
But seriously, if you agree that there should be a separate Black Sabbath (Dio) thread, respond. If you want a Black Sabbath in general thread, respond to that. It's up to you.

| Also, manny, feel free to make any thread you want. I agree that Zeppelin, Deep Purple, and Iron Maiden also need threads, so you could get right on that (or some other person reading this ). Yeah, but thanks for feedback. I appreciate it. | |

I think Dio and Black Sabbath ( that would include the Dio era) should have their own threads, if you want to include Dio's Elf years or even his Redcap era, in your Dio thread that is up to you, Elf's input was small and in itself doesnot (IMO) deserve its own discography thread but Dio's solo career certainly does.

| Black Sabbath is a thread we will get to, in fact I'll most likely start it. But not until we are finished with a few of these others. Right now we have Zeppelin, Purple and Iron Maiden threads going...that's plenty at once. After we have completed one of those, THEN we can start on another band.
The fewer threads we have going, the better chance more people will respond to them and share their opinions. If they log on and see 20 discography threads at once it's going to get old and people won't participate.
At least that's my personal opinion. |

| Since we decided to have a maximum of 3 threads active at a time, and since I agree that Dio and Sabbath need separate threads, and since this thread haven't even started, 16 posts in (!!), I'm closing it. _________________ | |
