| I've been spinning Quicksand's Slip and Manic Compression albums quite a bit lately. I've always thought of them as a good blend of Fugazi and Helmet. Any fans? | |

| I never wanted to give these guys a chance (figured it was just typical alt-rock of the times) until I heard the song Landmine Spring. I was instantly a fan. They also do a killer cover of "How Soon Is Now". | |

| SLIP is fantastic...Edgy and heavy in a sort of FUGAZI-ish way.
I didn't care alot for MANIC COMPRESSION and then that whole RIVAL SCHOOLS project was ghastly. _________________ "Oh man, I need TV? When I got T Rex"

I've always thought of them as a good blend of Fugazi and Helmet. Any fans? Slip is a great album. I saw Quicksand in 1993 when they toured with White Zombie and Anthrax. I sat in the 9th row and enjoyed all the music that night. My buddy caught one of Charlie Benante's drum sticks, Anthrax played "So Watcha Want" by the Beastie Boys, and they also played "Thieves" by Ministry. I hadn't heard about Quicksand until I saw them that night. The next day, I bought their album. | |
