| Cool Nevermore!!! There will always be at least a few rags left though ... for the diehards like us. Lately - I've actually been getting into the UK mags. Metal Hammer, Classic Rock, etc. Europeans are far more into the written metal word than Americans are. They are true metalheads over there. | |

| Just read Charlotte Perkin Gilman's short story The Yellow Wallpaper for a class tomorrow. A great first wave feminist (subtle feminist that is) psychological gothic horror story. The way it was written kinda reminded me of Bram Stoker's Dracula. | |

| Yeah, Classic Rock is cool. The only rock/metal mag worth reading imo. Too bad it's so damn expensive. An issue is like 8 euros here. | |

I have to be honest I looked forward to reading it, but after I finished it I felt Kramer was a whiney bastard and felt the book was a bit dull. I fininshed Hit Hard over the weekend and yes, it was a bit boring and kinda whiney. Nothing really shocking or revealing about Joey or the band, especially if you're a long time fan. I suppose if you suffer from depression or some other mental disorders, it might be of interest to you. Not me though. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

| I'm still reading the same book I was a few months back. I'm a slow reader, but it's because I don't devote much time to it each day. I'm more of a movie/TV kinda guy. Anyway - this is a great book on the history of non-metal rock music. Starts out with the glam rock phase of the early 70s - moves into punk, then the post-punk of the late 70s/early 80s ... then into alternative rock. Leaving no stones unturned, even exploring goth, industrial, trance, electronica, etc. It's a pretty heavy read though, clocking in at over 1,000 pages (I think). | |
