Not a metal band, but certainly hard rock. Brad Gillis' and Jeff Watson's solos in "Don't Tell me You Love Me" are personal favorites.

Great song. Never been a huge N.R. fan but I love that particular track.

As for my pick for "best solo" -- anything by Akira Takasaki on Loudness' DISILLUSION, THUNDER IN THE EAST and/or LIGHTNING STRIKES would make the cut for me. Hard to pick one, but I always loved "Ashes in the Sky" in particular
