| I wonder if certain movies aren't as good for Non-US viewers because of all the cultural references and "Americana"? I say this because I thought Talladega Nights was very funny - but it makes fun of Nascar and Southern folk in general quite a bit. A lot of the jokes and references in the movie might just not make any sense if you don't live in the US. | |

I remember talking to some people who saw Snakes on a Plane in theaters. They said that the preview for Black Snake Moan came on just before Snakes on a Plane, and when the title came up, the whole theater exploded with laughter.

Great movie. Tommy Lee Jones is awesome as the bad guy, and of course, you have Erika Eleniak climbing out of a birthday cake half-nekkid. Can't beat that combo.

Quite possibly. I love films like Anchorman, Blades of Glory, Dodgeball, Wedding Crashers etc etc. But Talledega Nights just didn't seem to match up to those - it was decent, but it wasn't great. _________________

| Last night I watched "Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers" on AMC (American Movie Classics) for about the dozenth time. It may not be the best of the Halloween sequels (that honor would go to "II" in my opinion) but thankfully it's far from the worst (which would be a toss up between "5" and "6" in my book) | |
