Queensryche gives new info on "American Soldier"

I still think we need to wait until the album is released before we can say one way or the other. Where are people getting this album to critique?

You can snag a promo copy or maybe an import, but I would guess most are downloading it as a torrent. I'm not encouraging this mind you, but thats how things are these days.

I get promos for tons of albums almost daily. I reviewed albums for over a decade; I think every promotional company out there has my address. Sad thing is, I rarely get rock/metal albums. I get tons of pop and whatnot, even though I've never reviewed that crap. Lame.

I did not find the single to be bad at all. Probably I will have to get a listen of the album first to make my critisism, but the sound reminds the to the 90's style of music for some reason

I still wanna be like you. Even if you call it deflation, or stagnation, or, even that rarer occurence...stagflation. I never tried portraying myself as anything here, just asking folks to fall in line with the dictates of logic. But, how do you know that I'm not the smartest one here. How do you know? Have you tested us? Am I smarter than you, charlie?

What did you think of the last two Iced Earth concept albums? Was one significantly better than the other? Were both terrible? I don't know anymore. You tell me.

The dictates of logic? That's the problem—you're not following logic. You suggested Queensryche and Judas Priest were entering Ayreon territory, a grand plateau of sounds and styles. Yet when people scoff, you get all defensive and insist they are obtuse, because they were somehow supposed to understand that you weren't referring to the forest, but just a mere pine cone in one tree.

And now you're talking about Iced Earth.

That's a nice comparison right there, friend. The whole pine cone in the forest thing. I like it. Try working it into a conversation this weekend. It was witty. No, no. It was clever. So, how's that working out for you? Being clever, that is.

What did you think about the last Iced Earth outing - Crucible Of Man? Real brief now. Then, that one as compared to the previous title - Framing Armageddon. Is any of this good stuff? Is it maybe true that these titles work much better as complete suites rather than individual tracks? Do you remember any work you've come across in the past that you misjudged? Something that you were quick on judging, but when ample time past, you felt differently? I can admit to doing this on a fairly regular basis In fact, it's a trap I fall prey to over and over again...especially with Prog and Jazz titles bearing a decent degree of complexity.

Are you able to utter this simple phrase...."I was wrong."

How about these, "The check is in the mail"........."She said she was 18."

I've always been a fan of Queensryche and of concept albums, so I will definitely check this out. Something tells me this isn't going to be a feel-good kind of album.
