Had a carpenter come in and do it. My idea of being mechanical is to bust out the BFH on everything! I did use the scrap and put up the shelves in the closet myself [that is why it is all crooked and uneven! ha] - Quote :
- Eh Hem.... Do I see United States Postal Services personal property in this picture? Perhaps a couple of plastic tubs? As a proud postal employee I encourage you to return those tubs to your nearest post office immediatly or I will have to take action on this matter and report you to the proper authorities. This article is because of people like you not returning the tubs. http://www.nwanews.com/adg/Business/224090/
I have permission. My PO gives them to me, as I am there every other day with a full bin of cds and stuff for my biz. So, don't go Neuman on me! And this thread shouldn't just be about my collection. I wanna you guy's stuff! |

| When I buy my house, I will be able to do what you guys have. But my dream is to own a nice stereo system. Not like the combo stereo that you get on, but those that you build up. Get your speakers, then the cd player, then the cassete, then connected it to your TV, and so on. | |

| Looks great Sax. What are the shelves made of? I'm amazed they don't sag. And good job hiding your speakers. I can't find them! But that's probably because the CD store in there is distracting.
Powermacho, I'd encourage you to build your own system. Poke around, it can be done on a budget! I'm listening to an $8 DVD / CD player right now. It originally sold for $900.
D&L. Looks great as well! And no joke on the lots of action figures! Nothing wrong with some nerdiness though!

| I realized I am going down to bug and harass Sideshow next week. So I would not be around to invoice, answer questions etc., when they end. So I have to push it back another week.
Nice room PRD. Let's never grow up!! |

That's me as well. I only have around 1,500 cd's right now but venture to guess that I might have as many or more then anyone here if I hadn't sold so many throughout the 90's and earlier 2000's. Glad I did in a way though as they really do take up a lot of room. Especially when you have 2 kids and a wife living with you as well.

That is one cool looking man room, John. In my dream house, I would have two man rooms, one for books and one for music.

| OK. This is A-F and the pic is me skydiving in 94. Here's the rest of The Vault. This is the non-concert/box set DVD collection. The concert DVDs next to the stereo in the weight room. The decor in the weight room. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

And this thread shouldn't just be about my collection. I wanna you guy's stuff! I have four or five hundred CD's and LP's in a closet in my apartment. Need a light in there! Other than that it would just be a picture of my living room apartment! Yeah, there's vinyl on the walls, and big 'ol honking speakers, but it still has a couch and crap. Hahaha. Living by myself, my whole place is my sanctuary! But I might be photographing the place for other reasons. Could post here if people want to see my toys. Toho, get some pics up! Photobucket is retarded though. I can never remember my password. If my mac forgets, I'm screwed. KMorg, can you find what you're looking for? Looks good though, I recognize a lot of the spines in your collection! I've got a bunch of cases from Atlantic that fit well onto shelves like that. Spent all of eight dollars or so on each, they hold 45 CD's. Work pretty well. Think they're called Dominos or something like that. They're worth looking into. |

And are those Infinity's in the weight room? Yes and yes. I have the entire MP episode set as well as anything else I can get by them on DVD. And I've had those Infinitys for about 20 years now. I sort of keep hoping they'll croak so I can get speakers that aren't furniture but the damn things still crank. And that's a little MTX subwoofer in the corner with the MASH set on top. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Would have guessed that they were twenty years old based on the wood grain. And I bet they do crank. Infinity has always made awesome speakers.
I just completed my surround system! I still hope I have all those speakers in twenty years! I bought them with the intent of keeping them that long, but I have a short attention span!
BTW, Nice Therion and Skydiving posters. Hope you've jumped solo! It's on my list of things to do! |
