It's pretty cool. It's 132 pages and packed with photos. It's laid out chronologically from 1974 to the Firepower tour with promor photos, live shots, back stage passes, news clippings, and memorabilia. It's pretty impressive for something in a box set and they could expand it with some more text and photos into a nice coffee table book.

Yes. There's pictures of everyone - KK, Les Binks, Ripper, etc... The Ripper albums are only covered in two pages though.

Read a article on fb yesterday about that. Blew me away, so glad it's in remission now.

Well, cancer sucks. Especially on children. Rob is right about that. Not many things more horrifying than that. But still, his modesty battling and conquering cancer is an inspiration. Hopefully to even those who can't yet comprehend what it is they are battling.
EDIT: Actually no, kids that young don't know who Rob Halford is, so it's a stupid thing of me to say. Just that Rob draws attention to them is a nice gesture, to us ADULTS. WE adults understand, or should understand, and try and help how we can. I don't even know why I brought Rob into it after he made a deliberate effort in not making cancer about him, but about lives younger than him.

Great news for Rob being in remission! Cancer is difficult to deal with - glad to see he was able to be treated during the pandemic

...somewhere KK Downing be like "Dudes, what the F***?"
But seriously... that's a terrible idea. Priest is all about the twin guitar harmonies.
Are they gonna have Richie on stage playing against a recorded backing track to fill the gap? Pfffft.
If Sneap isn't available, Lord knows there are dozens of Priest-influenced metal bands that they could have poached a temp guitarist from.

Maybe they don't want to pay another one?
Richie is good enough to handle it by himself, but I also think it's not Priest if it's not a twin guitar attack. It says Glenn will try and get to select shows and do a song or two per night.

Maybe they have a contract where only one blonde guitarist is allowed in the band? I think it's dumb. If KK is still willing to join, then they need to make it happen. I guarantee that their ticket sales are going to plummet if they go out without another guitarist. KK rejoins, they would probably double. Dumb.

Maybe they can get Ripper as a session solo vocalist to sing the guitar lead harmonies. He works with all the bands nowadays so why not be a guest session artist for the band he used to front.
Imagine Ripper on stage with Halford, singing the guitar solos!

Ritchie Faulkner pretty much played all the guitars on the last album. So them going as a four piece is not a surprise. The dual guitar thing is a thing of the past. Priest is a different animal now…

Difference is, in the studio they dub and overdub, so one guitarist can sound like a hundred if they want. So if they plan on making the songs sound like the studio versions, they need another guitarist, or they gonna pipe music in, which in my opinion is bullshit. Might sound great with only one guitarist, but it won't sound like it should.

PRIEST should hang it up. Call it a day. Take the knee. I saw Faulkner live. He just wasn’t that good. Tipton played circles around him. Front row tickets. Glenn Tipton, after the show, was right in front of me….. I have a guitar pick lol….but he was there for the women. 15 or so. It’s cool, after a show, to just look at the stage. The roadies come out. Security says scram. Chicks gather about. PRIEST is a warhorse….true…..but three legged now.

Nostradamus was pretty weak, but Priest have been a total joke since KK left. Hard pass on anything since.

I think they made a big mistake not forgiving KK and inviting him back. It definitely has harmed the legacy. KK was on all the classic and essential albums. Not to mention that he is a founding member. He deserves more respect. Sure, KK had a breakdown and vented with his infamous letters, but they forgave Halford when he left them for a solo career.

I enjoyed Nostradamus quite a bit. Even re-visit it from time to time.
Just like many bands, Priest wanted to experiment and it worked quite well for them imo.
Last 2 albums were very good. Back to their metal roots .
