| Spectres is my favorite also. As I wrote last year, they actually came to the regional fair near here, so I got to see them again despite living in the wilderness. I bought a "More Cowbell" t-shirt. For some reason (a few songs I guess, or maybe the Black & Blue tour) BOC got labeled as being a lot heavier than they actually are. I know a lot of people that find them lame. But they really never were primarily about rocking out. A deep band really. Spooky and in their own way, progressive. | |

| Love BOC! My favorite album is the "obscure" Imaginos. Also really love the more commercial leanings of Mirrors and Spectres. The only album I don't really like by BOC is Club Ninja but even that has "Dancing In The Ruins" on it. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Yup, big fan. Hard to pick a favorite or even put them in some sort of order. Always like Cultasaurus Erectus a lot. Fire of Unknown Original, Blue Öyster Cult, Tyranny and Mutation Secret Treaties...all great. Always loved their live EP "Some Enchanted Evening" a lot as well. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| I really like this band, I've seen them several times but not for a long time now. They used to come through Albuquerque nearly every year in the early to mid ninety's. They always put on a good show. I've always seen them in night clubs never a big stadium. I remember back around 1980 they broadcast one of their shows on a TV program called Rock Concert or something like that. They had all the smoke machines, lights, a giant Godzilla head on the stage. It was a pretty big deal, I would have liked to have been able to see them like that at least once. Last photos and interviews I've seen these fellers are looking pretty old. Hope they keep on rockin' a while longer. | |

| Huge huge fan as well here, saw them a month ago at the fair in North Dakota they were awesome. Before that was also at the fair grounds in 1976 at the height of their careers on the "On Your Feet Or On Your Knees" tour great laser show. Also got "More Cowbells" shirt and I as well have a tattoo on my right forearm of their logo. This is one of my all time favorite bands ever, I consider their 70's material to be their pinnacle and untouchable! Wargod48 | |

| Big fan of Blue Oyster Cult, and it is great to see " Imaginos'" getting some love, I bought the dvd they released a few years ago 'A Long Days Night" and it was excellent. Sure they look used car salesmen but they still have their chops, "Cultasaurus Erectus' is another great album but my favorite album by them is "Tyranny and Mutation" excellent album without a bum track in sight. Last studio album "The Curse of the Hidden Mirror' got some mixed reviews but I liked it. | |

| I was only familiar with Godzilla, Burning For You, and Don't Fear The Reaper and I liked them. So I got a CD of them from the Super Hits series (the CDs you get for $5) and I am now ready to get some more-awesome music. These guys seem like a classic rock band I could listen to on a regular basis. | |

| One odd song by BOC that I've always liked is "Shooting Shark". I like the groove of that song. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Absolutely! A couple of other great songs of theirs that have a good groove IMO are "Dancing in the Ruins" from Club Ninja and "Take Me Away" co-written by Aldo Nova(and you can tell, because it sounds an awful lot like his hit "Fantasy") from The Revolution By Night. | |

| Dancing In The Ruins is the only reason I bought Club Ninja because I think that album is weak other than that song. And you're right about Take Me Away, you can definitely hear the Aldo Nova influence in the songwriting and you can hear his guitar playing as well. I also really love the remake of Astronomy that's on the Imaginos disc. That chorus really grooves too. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Has anyone else ever noticed that a lot of BOC albums have a "muddy" or "muffled" sound to them. Especially the drums; they just don't have enough "oomph". The only ones that don't sound like that to me are Mirrors and the new stuff. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.
