| Has anyone picked up this CD yet? I guess I should say buy since it as of now is only coming in from Englad. However I noticed that Amazon will be selling it soon as well but it still is the same price through Amazon as I got in the preorder.
First off the artwork is fantastic, and the packaging is sweet. They did a real nice job and if you preordered if from Blaze himself the whole band signed it. Which I was glad to see the whole bandl did and not just Blaze.
Anyhow I think all his solo albums are amazing and this one is top notch. I need a few more spins to give deeper thoughts but I think it reminds me mostly of his 10th Dimension style writing, but as a vocalist he is just awesome.
What are your thoughts?

| He had his chance to impress in Maiden and failed. Contrary to the title, he should die. | |

Ehhhhh, ok. Actually, it's impossible to impress not matter how good a singer you are if the songs aren't that good to begin with. Maiden were in a slump during that period. It wasn't just Blaze. Besides X Factor isn't really all that bad. It's a dark moody album, which is different from what most Maiden fans were use to, but still not bad. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

come on hes not that bad. I actually liked the stuff he did in Maiden. When Bruce sings Clansman or any other Blaze Maiden era songs he sings them in a lower key and sounds a little like Blaze but of course with his own style. Now when Bruce sings songs from the Dianno era I dont think he does those so well. Blaze is good if not better on his own than he was with Maiden. He was also good with Wolfsbane.

I wonder how many people walk around with this sort of attitude. I suspect far too many, which is a shame since Blaze's solo material is very worthwhile, aggressive, catchy and intelligent Heavy Metal. I haven't picked up the new one yet. I guess it would be pretty different from the previous three since it's a whole new band. However if it's like 10th Dimension thats sounds promising. I'm sure either way it's good yet again. |

| I personally was guilty of not giving him a chance solo at first, and oddly I like the stuff he did with Maiden. However I came across two of his cds used one time for like 6$ each and figured why not try them. Little did I know that it was going to be so good, after that I went online and bought 10th Dimension (the one I didnt own at the time) and when it came in I was suprised to find I thought that was his best of the three. Now this fits in perfectly with all the others. Truly he has a good vision of rock in his mind and can bring it to fuitition on CD! | |

| i think doing maiden was bad for him as an artist. Sure he was in one of the most famous bands all of all time but having to follow the departure of bruce was kinda like aaron rodgers starting after farve has (well) retired... Alex _________________ | |

| I respect peoples opinions but to me it seems like it didn't matter who replaced Bruce in maiden, no one was gonna accept any replacement no matter how good they were. As a long standing Maiden fan I really liked the Blaze era stuff. Sure I was gutted when Bruce left but I didn't mind Blaze's voice at all and thought both the X factor and Virtual XI had some really good songs. I saw Maiden twice on tour during Blaze's time and thought his voice was really strong on some of the older songs. he did need to work on his stage presence and banter but the singing was fine. His solo albums are really good strong heavy metal. | |

| I dont think he was bad but I think a lot of maiden fans (myself included for awhile) just thought and think of today of him as the guy who came after and before bruce II. I think blaze has a good voice but i think he would have been better going in a band where he was not viewed as a replacement... Alex _________________ | |

| I think it was probably better for him to have been noted as being in Maiden, than not. At least this way Blaze is famous. But it depends how far Wolfsbane would have got, or whatever Blaze would had been doing.
No replacement wouldve been good enough anyway in a lot of peoples eyes and Maiden were already receiving criticism and suffering a fan base that was falling by the way side during the last couple years with Bruce. Such was that era anyway and who knows whether the Maiden resurgence of the last few years would had been as strong had Bruce never left. |

| I never noticed him being bad live, I guess I was just so stoked to see Maiden live I never paid much attention. I actually love X Factor (Virtual XI is my least favorite Maiden album) but I also didn't get into Maiden til after Fear Of The Dark so I am less biased than many long-time Maiden fans were at the time. | |
