Your Favorite Alt/Rock band...

Well being that i love a lot of Alt/Rock bands now and in the 90's i have decided on doing a tally on here of what everyone's top 5 alt/rock bands are. After i get 10 replies and a total of 50 answers i will tally them up and release the bands in order of most mentions. After another 50 bands i will do it again and so on til well i dont get anymore answers.

I will start it out.

1. Breaking Benjamin
2. Theory of a Deadman
3. Three Days Grace
4. Decyfer Down
5. Seether

Maybe I'm unsure of the criteria. Feel free to clarify

1. - Soundgarden (although I consider Badmotorfinger to be all Metal)

2. - Sometime Sunday (highly underrated heavy grunge band)

3. - Pearl Jam (Guilty pleasure. They know how (or did) to write good catchy jam songs

4. - Temple Of The Dog (the best one and done I've ever heard)

5. - 4 Non Blondes (ditto)

Soundgarden or Pearl Jam. Nirvana only has a couple of songs I enjoy.

For me, I'd say Nirvana and Soul Asylum.
If Soundgarden are "alt/rock" (I always considered'em pretty metal) then throw 'em on too.

That's not Alt Rock...that's Mainstream Top 200 Rock.

All those bands are Alt/Rock just because they're mainstream has no affect on the music they play. BB borders metal.

So does that mean Pearl Jam, Nirvana, and Soundgarden are Mainstream Rock as well? Just because they are popular bands doesnt mean they dont fall into that genre..
