Madagascar 2-Awesome, hilarious, and even better than the first one. I will probably end up owning this one when it comes to DVD.

Yesterday - "Bad Boys II" - quite possibly the most ridiculously over-the-top, unrealistic, preposterous action movie ever made, but it's OH so much fun!!

Today "Madagascar" on DVD for about the fifty zillionth time with my son-- he wants to see the sequel which just opened, so I guess he wanted to refresh himself on the original first.

I just saw the commercial for Punisher War Zone and it looks pretty good. I thought the song playing during the commercial was pretty kick a$$ though. Peace.

End of Days - I caught this one when it first came to video and thought it was slightly below average... It was on Encore Friday night and now I think it's slightly above average. Not as bad as I remembered.

U571 - was on Encore Action yesterday morning. It's always playing and I decided to give it a shot. Pretty good.

YEAH! I definitely wanna see this. I was already planning to, but the trailer was really cool and it's nice to see him to an actual supervillain to fight (Jigsaw).

The Strangers - it was just very O.K.....kind of blah. Liv Tyler = top 5 unattractive not-fat leading actresses. Her face was once interesting/striking, but now her whole package is just awful. She's also the new generation Talia Shire (Rocky's wife Adrianne) who was miserable and weepy in just about every role she played.

I saw Young Frankenstein and i LOVED IT!!!

Cloverfield-When I saw the real shaky camera work I figured it would be just like Blair Whitch (one of the worst movies ever made IMO). However, unlike that stinkfest, this movie actually held my attention and got my blood pumping. Suprisingly good. However, I don't see a sequal working well.

That shaky cam crap has got to stop. The latest George Romero zombiefest "Diary Of The Dead" uses that now-tired gimmick.

My last two movies were for the kids -

Transformers: The Movie (animated one from the 80's) - my kids are watching this one non-stop now!

Kung Fu Panda - this one was pretty good! Took the kids to see it at the theater, picked it up on blu-ray last weekend and it looks awesome on blue-ray!

Get Smart-not quite as funny as the first time but still enjoyable.

Kung Fu Panda-just as good as the first time. Apart from a good story and comedy, there is also the amazing visuals and ground breaking action scenes (the stuff they did, particularly the fight on the bridge, was not done before in a computer animated movie).

X Files - i want to believe ( what a crap )

Off to see the new Bond tonight

Quantum of Solice - great movie, not as good as casino royal, but still a great movie

Wall - E ( like it, very nice cartoon )

today i watched Top GUn for the first time in ages and it is brilliant as always. i know it was a film for the ladies or whatever but i think it is great all the same

actually i never knew it existed until one of the girls in my flat had a copy. it was gross.

i guess top gun was the best film for couples to go and see

Diary of the Dead.

I was a bit weary, I love the Romero movies, but some reviews were thrashing it. The only negative thing I can say is that it was slow at times and didn't have enough zombie action, but it had great Romero atmosphere (something Land of the Dead did not).

Quantum of Solace

As mentioned above it's not as good as Casino Royale, but it's a damn good movie. My only complaint is that the editing is too fast (but that's a common complaint of mine), especially during the car chase sequences. But it still delivers the goods when it matters and manages to balance the action with good characters and tightly written subplots.
