| Doomsday This is the latest directorial effort from Neil Marshall whose previous flicks, Dog Soldiers and The Descent are a couple of my favorite horror movies this decade. This one isn't a horror movie; it's an homage to the movies Marshall likes. It's a mashup of Escape From New York, Mad Max and 28 Days Later. The plot isn't the least bit original but there's lots of action and gore and never a dull moment. If you go into it not expecting anything remotely original but just want to be thoroughly entertained, you'll enjoy this one. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Here's one for DB:
There's this Wizard Of Oz remake thing that Zooey Deoihsjlkhfkhwerfa stars in as DG. I don't know what it's called, but we were watching it the other night. I guess it's not really a movie, but it's good otherwise. Some of the lines are very cheezzzzy though.

Her pictures are lovely enough but when I hear her voice and see her facial expressions I am filled with a longing that is both inexplicable and irrational. She is an atctress and not meant for me but I just find her too irrestistable (a reason why I haven't watched Hitchiker's Guide To The Galaxy in two years despite loving the movie-I may have to wait until I'm in a relationship before I attempt to watch it again). Call it pathetic or creepy, but it is what it is.

| Futurama: Bender's Game-funny as all get out, unfortunatly, like the last one this doesn't have any contiuation of the Fry and Leela saga. However, from what I understand, the last one will. | |

| In The Name Of The King-Bad acting, ususual casting (Burt Reynolds and Ray Liotta do NOT belong in a fantasy film), cheesy dialogue (the term is 'give no quarter' not 'give no quarters'), and totally unorigional, but from what I understand, a lot better than most Uwe Boll movies (thoug I kind of dug Alone In The Dark). For a theatrical release this is a bad movie, but would be pretty decent for a Sci-Fi Channel movie. Still, I wasn't expecting Lord Of The Rings quality or even Eragon quality when I rented it. Despite the bad elements, the action scenes were pretty good as well as the cinematography and at least it killed 2 hours. | |

Good gore flick but the scenes in the hospital maternity ward were just wrong, WRONG, WROOOOOONNNNGGG!! _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

Oh, and just like Alone In The Dark suprisingly had a Nightwish song, this album had a Blind Guardian song at the end credits.

| Get Smart - not bad for a big screen remake, but the original show was better. I liked how they put so many references to the original show in the movie. | |

I don't really like him at all as an actor. His facial expressions just make me want to punch him in the face. I can't explain it.
