| Any oldtimers rememeber this excelent band ? They brought alot of different stuff to the table and did it well. I know they had some success but still flew under the radar, especially individual recognition for members and the talent they have. Laterz | |

| Love April Wine! My favorite album is probably First Glance. "Roller" is a classic rocker IMO. Other favorite songs:

| Love these guys from about 77-83. Some of the earlier and later stuff is completely forgettable. Personally, and I know it was the most mainstream, but Power Play is my fav. Just a very unique sounding album all the way through. Canada cranked out some absolutely killer tunage during that period!! |

| The rawness of their first few albums makes me think of them as a Canadian Foghat. I love On Record and Electric Jewels. |

I agree, First Glance to Power Play is the great era for them. Ive tried to get into their early 70's stuff but it just doesnt click, it just wasnt their time yet. And their mid 80's on...well that April Wine just plain suxxx. First Glance is great Harder...Faster is awesome. Nature Of The Beast is one of my faorite all time albums ever. Power Play is very cool, some is classic AW, some of it you can sense the changing of the style was drawing near. I'm a big April Wine fan. Always was but only recently reintruduced myself to them again. | |

| I would've loved to see this band live during their prime! This is one of my "college bands"; lots of good times were had to their music during the early 80s. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| when we both were 12 years old in 1980, by friend went to Seattle on Christmas break and saw April Wine open for Foreigner on New Years Eve. Well, everyone was into Foriegner back then (Head Games Tour) so I just had to know more about this great band that opened for them. My friend bought Harder Faster and First Glance just days later and brought them back with him. That's how I became a AW fan at a young age. | |

| I still need to aquire the earlier AW stuff, I own bulk of the stuff mid 70's - mid 80's - - kinda enjoy it all actually. Absolute favourite is First Glance.
These guys are essential for any Hard Rock fan of the late 70's era, IMO. |

| They get allot of airplay on satellite radio, but I was never overly impressed by what I've heard. It's ok, but nothing that I felt the need to hear anymore of. That is a pretty sweet looking cover though. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | I was never fan of April Wine, have 'The Nature of the Beast' and it was ok, but like Metalguy was not impressed, during the mid 80's they had a minor hit "Rock Myself to Sleep' that my neighbor played all the time, thanks to him I grew to hate that song. | |

| Here in Canada they still have a strong following. I guess that's because they are a Canadian band. | |

| I really like First Glance, Harder Faster, and Nature of the Beast, When Power Play came out I didn't care for it as much. It did have some good songs but not the whole album. My sister bought the next one after that, can't remember the title but I didn't like it at all at the time and never bought any of their stuff after that. I did get to see them live with BOC and they put on a great show. I would love to see them again some day. In their prime they had some killer tunes. | |

I guess that's because they are a Canadian band. Is it true that Canadian radio by law has to play a certain percentage of Canadian artists? I heard that once and I want to know if it's true. It would certainly help explain the popularity of Corey Hart. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was.
