The first heavier song I remember really being into was Renegade by Styx. Not metal but it got me on the road.

I believe it was Bringing on the Heartbreak by Def Leppard. I still remember seeing the video on mtv when I was little. That was the only metal band (at the time) I used to listen to. Then when I got into middle school Def Leppard was out and in came Testament, Iron Maiden, Metallica etc.... oh how I wish Def Leppard would write cool songs like that again.
