Yea, Metal Mind reissued this one a while back didn't they?? Kinda odd that they would reissue all that Roadrunner stuff but they didn't try to reissue the S/T or TRANSCENDENCE. Instead they reissued this one and ASTRONOMICA, i.e. the two Crimson Glory albums nobody really gave a rat's patoot about. I'd like to see the debut reissued on CD with the long lost track "Dream Dancer" re-instated into the running order like it is on my old cassette copy (on PAR Records)... and as long as I'm dreaming, I'd like a new Corvette and a porn star wife too....
Wow, speak of the devil...I just read on Blabbermouth a couple of days ago that Metal Mind Productions will FINALLY be re-issuing Crimson Glory's self-titled debut and TRANSCENDENCE soon. Even better, the debut will have the long lost song "Dream Dancer" added as a bonus. YYYYYES! I have been waiting for THAT song to resurface for a long time!! It was the leadoff song on my old cassette copy of the album (on PAR Records, 1986) and is my all time favorite C.G. track, but when Roadrunner picked up the band/album for a wide release, for some reason they took "Dream Dancer" off the album, buried it on the B-side of the "Lonely" single, and it thusly disappeared off the face of the earth. Over the past 15 years or so I have never upgraded my cassette copy of the debut to CD (though I've had dozens of opportunities to do so), because it was always missing that song!!
(Does happy dance)
Maybe I should keep wishing for that Corvette and that porn star wife too!!
Now maybe I can get a hold of them and see why Strange & Beautiful is such a dud in comparision.

Had an Unexpected Metal Moment this evening... my wife and I were watching a re-run of "Dog Eat Dog" on Game Show Network, and one of the competitors was... Ravi Jakhotia, who played drums on Crimson Glory's STRANGE AND BEAUTIFUL album. No kiddin'. When they introduced him I sez "WOW! I know who that guy is!" and actually went & got my S&B disc off the shelf to show my wife his picture on the back cover.
Ravi didn't mention Crimson Glory during the show, but when the hostess asked him "What do you do, Ravi?" he did say "I'm a drummer." He won $5000, by the way. Good on ya, Ravi!
Thought that was kinda cool!!

Definately the disc that had the best cover art then any other in the Crimson Glory fold but, cover art dont make an album. Somebody above said that this one was the worst but I'd say the latest album which I cant remember the name of was the worst. I still need to get the originals of all the CG discography.

Wow, this topic keeps coming and coming and every time I plop the cursed thing into my cd player to give it a try and then in about 2 minutes hate myself of being so gullable...
Rat patoot is very accurate description of what this album is. Rodents like this should be exterminated, and the space on the rack sanitized, twice!

The guy is not stupid. The last thing a real musician would like to admit would be to confess he played on the rat patoot

So I was reading Blabbermouth this AM and it appears there's a Crimson Glory tribute album (!) in the works. Has anybody heard of any of these bands? Other than Faith Factor (who I've heard OF but never actually HEARD) and Fates Prophecy (ditto), the rest of the lineup made me say "???"
Norwegian metalers TOMORROW'S OUTLOOK have posted a 60-second clip of their CRIMSON GLORY cover "Red Sharks", featuring a duet between Norman "Ski" Kiersznowski and Mike Gorham.
Check out the clip at www.myspace.com/tomorrowsoutlook.
"Red Sharks" will be included on the upcoming "The Revenge Of Azrael" tribute to CRIMSON GLORY, due later in the year via Metallicarchangel Records.
"The Revenge Of Azrael" will feature the following artists/songs, among others:
* TOMORROW'S OUTLOOK (Norway) - "Red Sharks"
* FAITH FACTOR (USA) - "Azrael"
* WITHOUT WARNING (USA) - "Lost Reflection"
* CYCLOPHONIA (Norway) - "Eternal World"
* GRAVEN IMAGE (USA) - "Where Dragons Rule"
* PLANET STORM (Sweden) - "Burning Bridges"
* ANARCHY X (Italy) - "Queen Of The Masquerade"
* HELD UNDER (USA) - "Valhalla"
* INNOSENSE (Greece) - "Masque Of The Red Death"
* FATES PROPHECY (Brazil) - "In Dark Places"
* ETERNAL WINTER (USA) - "Lady Of Winter"
* SCOTT OLIVA (USA) - "Painted Skies"
* MIKE BLAIR PROJECT (USA) - "Dream Dancer"

It's weird that I don't know about this. I randomly post at the Scream Magazine discussion board, and one of the members of Tomorrow's Outlook is a regular member there. He's been pimping his band there from the interception, and he's even sent me some music files of their music. The thing is, he is a HUUUUGE "Ski" fan, as well as an underground US metal fan. So it looks like he has managed to put together a Crimson Glory tribute album, starring a lot of well known unknowns, if you see what I mean. Scott Oiva is the singer for Wind Wraith.

I thought maybe he was Jon Oliva's son.

As long as we're bringing this old-ass zombie thread back from the dead, I also recently covered this album in my "Forgotten Hard Rock Albums" blog:
