The new band of ex-Tourniquet members Guy Ritter, Gary Lenaire and Erik Mendez is called Flood and their debut album is called Polarized.
It will be released the 1st of January 2022.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQD1YxTlFXk
David Husvik of Extol is on drums. Anna Sentina on bass.
Guy Ritter sounds GREAT!!! And there seems to be quite a bit of fast thrashing going on too. One of the songs is a new version of Darfur that was a Lenaire/Mendez/Macias band 2050's song. It seems to be made faster and thrashier too.
And Guy Ritter has a He-Man hairdo!

This is my most anticipated album release! I love the Ritter/Lenaire era of Tourniquet.
Echo Hollow was good too… (but less metal).

Why would someone release an album on a Saturday, and on a holiday? How do you buy it on release day? Or get a physical copy in your hand?

I think it will first only be released as a download (no wait time). Then a physical CD will follow soon after…

Someone said Guy’s new hairdo looks like He-Man!
I agree. But he also looks like the main dude from the Moody Blues.

Really looking forward to this one. The previews I’ve heard sound great. Love that line up!

First single:
The full album can be listened here: https://soundcloud.com/user-82562690/sets/flood-polarized
This one is the fastest track in the album: https://soundcloud.com/user-82562690/biotech-babylon?in=user-82562690/sets/flood-polarized
I had a bit of trouble getting into the album apart from a few songs here and there during the first listen, but the more I listen to it the better it gets. Guitar solos are outstanding through the whole album.
My Last Ride is a ballad that's one of the biggest tearjerkers I've heard.

I already ordered 2 copies. I definitely want to support this band.
Honestly, these days it’s hard to find Christian bands that I like. 30 years ago… no problem! The main reason is that most bands drifted too far from thrash. This band isn’t just one style, but the music is well done and aggressive.

Biotech Babylon is great! Guy Ritter even does that weird vocal effect like the end of Broken Chromosomes!
I used to think it was from a keyboard. Â It’s also reminiscent of the thing Jon Oliva used to do.

This is different from what I thought it was going to be. The musicianship is good and solos are awesome! I think they took the vocal effects a bit far and it makes the album suffer. To each their own though.

At least you like a couple things about it. It’s hard to please everyone.

I'm very impressed with this album overall. Guy, Gary, and Erik all sound amazing. The lyrics are quite good, although I'm not sure they're quite on the level of Ted at his best—but that's a high standard. Time will tell how this compares to Gazing at Medusa, which I have grown to love.

Didn't Guy, or Gary, or Victor leave the faith? Maybe I'm mixing things up, it's been a long time since I heard from these guys.
I liked the music.

Gary did. He even wrote a whole book about it called An Infidel Manifesto: Why Sincere Believers Leave Faith.
It seemed like he would never be a Christian again, but what he has been writing on Facebook, his website and the lyrics of this album very strongly seems to say he's come back to the faith.
This is a text written by him that's on his website:
Quote :
I have written many words: Lyrics, essays, books, business plans. The older I get the more I realize that words are easy. Actions speak the loudest and clearest message about our lives.
I dared to question everything in this world and for that I have no regrets. But knowledge has a price. It is easy to destroy a thing: An idea, a home, a love, a faith. It is much more difficult and worth while to build something.
What I know:
There are causes and effects.
There is a design to the universe (whether you perceive random chaos, divine fiat, or something else).
Humans have been talking about creators for millennia.
Humans can be so sure of something that they cease to learn anything.
Many humans have attributed the most horrific and abhorrent characteristics to their version of God; many humans have leveraged those evil versions of gods for political, religious and financial gain.
I was baptized in December 1985.
Love is the highest path; forgiveness is the toll, map, and light for that journey.
Jesus the Christ is the Son of God, the Word made flesh.
Here's a link to it: https://www.garylenaire.com/words
The lyrics of the opening track Design were written by Gary, and there he acknowledges the existence of God as the creator of everything and makes references to Jesus as God.
By the way, here's a new video released on Flood Youtube channel. It's probably the thrashiest and fastest song on the album.

I like this album. It is a fun listen and has touches of Tourniquet but also Echo Hollow (Diet of Worms)
I will admit I was super skeptical that a) this would ever be released and b) if it was that it would be meh. Happily wrong on both accounts

I thought the same! Tourniquet meets Diet of Worms (Echo Hollow).

I have spent some more time with this album and it is trending into 'love it' territory. Very very enjoyable
