1981 movie “The Pit”

Has anyone seen this?

I’m watching it now on Tubi. Great B movie cheese!

I have a feeling The Gate borrowed a bit from this movie.

Oh yeah, I watched that some months ago. Pretty decent horror movie. Gotta love the evil teddy bear!

That has been on my Tubi watch list for a while but I still haven't gotten to it.

Just finished it. Man, that was a straaaaaange slice of cinematic cheese.

I’m glad you guys got a kick out of it! Was this movie ever on HBO back in the day? I never knew about it… and I thought I’ve seen almost everything.

The plot seems like a cross between The Gate and The Good Son (despite this movie being older).

How did the little neighbor girl not see that huge hole in the ground in broad daylight?

It looked ridiculous the way she marched into it completely oblivious.

Okay, I just had to watch this, and found it on YouTube. I want my 90 minutes back lol The first "horror" movie I've ever seen where they show some bewbs, and I was repulsed. Not the end boob shot, that was almost worth the 90 minutes of waisted life, but the first one of the very close-up of the baby sitters nipple. WTF?!?! At first I thought it was a pepperoni, then when I figured it out I wasn't sure if I was supposed to be turned on or order a pizza. She was kinda hot too, but is part of the most unflattering nude shot in cinematic history. And this coming from a guy that's watched Borat lol I can't believe I made it to the end. Wasn't the worse movie ever, but it was up there. And what was the deal with this kids bear? It had nothing to do with anything. I thought at least they'd pull a chunky doll move and say it was connected to the pit in some way, but no, just a psycho kid talking to his bear. Not sure who the bigger pervert was. The director or the 12 year old kid. The director definitely showed the world what sort of sex shit he's into lol

I might have seen that too while looking through the shelves at the old video store. The cover art does seem familiar.

Yeah I saw that in the video TZ posted after I got done writing my reply. She had a nice rack, I thank her father for being a pervert. Really strange when they say he wasn't allowed to be on set when other nude scenes were being filmed, but was okay to watch his daughter do a meaningless boob scene. I still say thank ya, it made the movie almost worth it lol

The first video I posted was a review and the guy said the director’s wife wouldn’t allow him to shoot any nude scenes of the actresses. So the perv used his own daughter. I’m not sure why they thought that was more appropriate…
