Subject: I want hand tattoos. Wed Jan 08, 2020 9:13 pm
My first tattoo turned 25 on the 4th, my only other one will be 24 in August. I've always said I'd get more if I felt the itch, but it never came. Now it has...and I want hand tattoos!??
I'm not sure why, but I like how they look. IF! This is a passing phase then I'm in luck because my job will not allow hand tattoos and I have at least another 5 years on-the-job.
In the meantime, one can dream. What I'm wondering is if anyone else here has hand tattoos? Would you mind showing them? Do you like them? Are you glad you got them?

I don't have any hand tattoos. My brother does and he doesn't seem to mind or regret his. I'm not sure I would want one on my hands.

So you’ll be retired by 50? Nice! Here in California, people need to work into their 60s or 70s. The cost of living is insane.

Well...51...maybe...from my current job. Firefighting is for young guys. 51 isn't old for most other jobs but I'm already in the top-5 on my shift seniority-wise at age 45.
I might not have to work full-time after 50/51, but I'll probably do/try fun/other things for years.
Also...flee! You could probably sell your Cali house and buy a mini-mansion in Texas, or buy a similar house and pocket massive $$. I know lots of people are doing this.

No hand tattoos for me. I do have an aging sleeve, but hands, neck and face always held no appeal for me and now especially with those areas being number 1 locations for the kids. That weeding ring tattoo that got popular for a hot minute always felt wrong as well, not just cuz it was a finger tat.

I would love to sell a house, but I don’t have one... I rent.

I don't have any tattoos. They never really interested me. I'd rather spend my money on other things, and it seems I never have any disposable income anyhow!

No tattoos for me, on hands or otherwise. I'm a giant wuss when it comes to needles.

I rather like the drilling ink sensation. It is very addictive and quite euphoric if you go for a long session.

Read something years back that Brian Setzer said. He said his dad told him tattoos were fine just don't get any where a judge can see them.

Everybody is surprised because of the way I look, but I do not have a single tattoo. I am amazed how tattoo's have become so fashionable, when I was a kid you rarely saw anyone unless they were a biker or stereo typical tough guy with tattoos. Now everybody and their grandmother has tattoos, the new tattoo is no tattoo.

I agree even though I have them and have no "regrats". Course I started 20+ years ago...
Same can be said for piercings.
When I was a teenager in the 80's getting your right ear pierced was as taboo as it comes and then of course I did it one better and got multiple on both sides and even tried the nipple a couple times (this never stayed, hurt like hell, of course both times was done at home with a safety pin.)
Course I pulled all my piercings at 30, figured that was the threshold for trying to be relevant.
Anywho kids now had to 1, 2 and 3 up everything with this.
