Yep, it's the opening number!
That's right, that the one where the whole troupe comes out dressed as waiters, sing the song and walk off stage with their butts exposed. Is it wrong that I know all the words to that song?
That has "Never Be Rude To An Arab" too. Man, no way you'd get away with performing that song these days.

Took a break from my 50s movie binge-fest tonight and went with "Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla" (still working on the Criterion Collection I bought back in October).
This is the second to last one in the Criterion Collection and after wading through "Godzilla vs. Megalon" I'm glad I'm almost done. This flick throws you a curveball for the first 30 minutes after "Godzilla" emerges from Mt. Fuji and starts destroying stuff but his growl is all wrong. That bugged the crap out of me until the real Godzilla emerges and burns the fake Godzilla skin off of Mechagodzilla.
I've only see this movie once or twice before because I'm not a big fan of the whole "mecha" thing that these kaiju flicks went through (although I do like mecha-King Ghidorah).

I always thought MechaGodzilla was the bomb. I saw that back in the 70s in the theater (at the most at the age of 10) and loved the whole thing, including Godzilla's ally King Seesar.

I vaguely remember this one from back in my youth. I never knew of the Raven connection, though. I have that "Raw Tracks" on CD so I have the Hot Moves song; but now I have to track down the other song somehow. Thanks for the intel, Freddy!

I think I have seen that one. There is a girl singing on shore to summon the King and he comes out of the rocks or sitting under a pile of rocks?

Yeah, the "Ladykiller" song was new to me too. I guess they didn't have a copy of that one to include on "Raw Tracks."
I knew of "Hot Moves" from that comp album, but about 30 mins into the movie I heard this other song in the background and went "Damn, that sounds like Raven too."
...so while I was watching, I actually went into a Raven fan group I belong to on FB where John Gallagher is also a member and asked about it, and he confirmed it was them.
He sez "Yes, that's us... we didn't write that, we took a dumb piano/vocal demo (written by one of the producers of the movie) and made something out of it," haha

I recently got a Roku box and have been watching music documentaries that's been showing.
I watched the Kittie "Origins/Evolution" doc. The Dream Deceivers doc on Judas Priest when they went on trial for the subliminal massages. And one on the Wacken 2013 fest.

Binged the whole first season of Hunters on Amazon. Then watched Saturday The 14th, a rather unfunny horror spoof from 1981 starring Richard Benjamin and Paula Prentiss.

Started "The Manster" today. This Japanese/American co-production from 1960 wasn't part of the puzzle that got me started on this binge but it should have been. This movie really freaked me out as a kid. A scientist injects a reporter with an experimental drug after he sneaks knockout drops into the reporter's drink. The drug attempts to bring out man's next evolutionary level but what it actually does is eventually "split" the primitive and modern man. This split starts when the reporter discovers a rash on his collarbone. Eventually the "rash" becomes an eye in a scene that I remember vividly from my childhood. If I remember correctly, eventually he grows a second head and at the end the two halves literally split in a gory finale.
But it's that eye on the collarbone scene that really blew my mind as a kid.
EDIT: I found the eye scene on Youtube. If you notice, he's hiding his "ape-hand" while the other people are there.

"Pet Sematary" (2019)
Remake of Stephen King's saga of a country doctor, a dead cat, and a mystical Indian burial ground follows SK's original story pretty faithfully for a while, then unexpectedly flips the script into something quite different in the second half. As remakes go, it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't nearly as creepy as the '89 film and didn't have its emotional punch either. Overall, a pretty unnecessary exercise.

"Piranha" (1995)
Made for cable retread of the 1978 Joe Dante/Roger Corman killer-fish classic stars Alexandra "Baywatch" Paul, William "Greatest American Hero" Katt, an all grown up and spectacularly busty Soleil ("Punky Brewster") Moon Frye, and a pre-teen Mila Kunis (in her film debut). Large portions of the dialogue (and many of the fish-attack FX shots) were lifted right out of the '78 film, so it felt like I was sitting through a re-run. Stick with the 1978 version.

I will have to check this one out, Keith, as I really like the first one (more character driven than creepy) due to the cool 70's vibes; and I am somewhat a fan of the second ( due to Lance Henriksen's coolness and Carole Davis' topless hotness) but mainly for it's cheesy early '80's campness.

I did the same, Hunters is an excellent show. Is Saturday The 14th on Prime? If so I need to check it out, I haven't seen it since it aired during the summers of childhood on HBO. When it was too hot to go outside or raining it seemed like we would stay in and watch that movie.

"Vice Academy Part II" (1990)
Ditzy rookie cops Holly (Ginger Lynn Allen) and Dee Dee (Linnea Quigley) have graduated from the academy and are given their first "real" assignment - to stop the super villainess "Spanish Fly," who plans to spike the city water supply with a lethal aphrodisiac. ...I swear I am not making this up. Obviously you don't watch ultra-cheap sex comedies like these for realistic plots or great performances, you watch 'em for the eye candy, which this flick definitely delivers. Casting former porn queen Ginger Lynn as the uptight, prim & proper half of the lead duo is also good for a few chuckles. Otherwise, this series is mainly for those who think the "Police Academy" flicks are too cerebral.

I’m not usually much for remakes or horror movies, I did watch this on and found it to be pretty good. It was nice and creepy and the twist ending was interesting enough for me.
My only criticism was John Lithgow. He’s no Fred Gwynn. “Sometimes dead is bettah”.

There is a pretty good documentary on Netflix now about ZZ Top. Gives some nice insight on a band that everyone knows but always kinda shrouded in mystery, thanks to their manager Bill Ham. He purposely kept them from doing interviews and public appearances. You only heard them on albums or saw them onstage. That was it.
Recommended.

^^ That ZZ Top doc is on my list to check out, I just haven't gotten to it yet.
I prob would've liked the Pet Sematary remake more if I hadn't seen the 89 film (or read the novel). It was OK, but nothing I'll ever sit thru again.

I didn't really like this one. I also thought Lithgow was pretty good. Granted Gwynne was better but then again so was the whole original film.

"Annabelle" (2014)
In this creepy-cool spin off from "The Conjuring" set in the late 60s, a young couple battles to keep their newborn daughter safe from a demonically possessed doll that wants her soul. A nicely done period piece that owes more to vintage flicks like "Rosemary's Baby" than "Chucky."

I was thinking about watching that but something about that whole "talking, possessed doll" sub-genre has always really creeped me out.
Even to this day the several Twilight Zone episodes with possessed dolls or ventriloquist dummies never fail to freak me out.
