| That series was brutal but not totally unexpected. Historically whenever the Cardinals have a huge offensive explosion they go into a tailspin. Those last three games were really demoralizing. Wasting two good starting performance and losing back to back games 2-1 then finally getting some offense today and the pen blows it.
Cards are really sucking right now; I think they've lost 9 out of their last 11. And now we go to Atlanta to face the loaded Braves. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Watching Cards at Braves. 5-0 Cards in the 4th but there's still plenty of time for us to blow this game like we have so many times already this season.
EDIT: It's now 11-0 in the 5th. This means the Cardinals will lose close games the rest of this series. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Watched the first few innings of the Pirates at the Diamondbacks. Last I saw the Pirates were up 1-0 when I went to bed. I see this morning that the win 6-2. Josh Bell has been tearing it up lately. | |

| Watching the NBA Conference Finals: Toronto at Milwaukee. I hope it ends up a better game than last night's Portland at Golden State blowout. | |

| Watching Cards vs Braves and as predicted after last night's 14-3 blowout tonight the Cardinals can't score. It's 2-0 Braves in the bottom of the 7th. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Watched probably the most painful loss for the Cardinals this season. Tied 2-2 in the 8th the Rangers went up 3-2 in their half. Thankfully I switched over to the Blues game at that point because I figured this game was over.
Well, it turns out STL tied it in the 9th on a Fowler HR and then took a 4-3 in their half of the 10th. But Jordan Hicks (who hasn't been used much as a closer lately due to the Cards sucking so badly) came in and gave up 2 runs. Cards lost 5-4 in 10. That's now 13 losses in their last 17 games. They really need to turn this around pronto. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I just saw the San Jose Sharks and St. Louis Blues game.
St. Louis won by a score of 5-1 to win the Western Conference Final four games to two. Now St. Louis is heading to the Stanley Cup Final for the first time since 1970. | |

Cardinals game was cancelled due to violent weather so I watched this game too. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Same here. Typical Cardinal game for this month. When we pitch we don't hit, when we hit we don't pitch and when we pitch AND hit the bullpen comes in to f*** it up. And Andrew Miller has freakin' SUCKED!!!! _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| The Cards finally won a game again. Good grief May has been a horrible month; in fact their 9-20 record for the month is the worst in Cardinal history. They went from best record in MLB at the end of April to one game under .500 and only a game in front of the Reds before dwelling in the cellar of the NL Central.
They won today but tried like hell to give the Phils the game. This team needs a lot of work and a serious wakeup call. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Watching the Cubs vs Cardinals.
Sort of disappointing reception when Kris Bryant came up in the first. I thought the booing would be more boisterous after his off-season comments about the city of STL. He called it "boring". STL is a lot of things (like a sh*thole) but "boring" is the one thing it sure isn't; it can't be boring when you're dodging bullets. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Went to the Pirates game last night and watched the Pirates beat the Brewers 9-4. This has to be the first time that I've seen a pitcher (Chacin) walk in not 1, not 2, but 3 runs. Crazy. | |

| I watched a reliever for Toronto do something similar last week in a random game on MLB Network. Dude walked in one run, then another and then just to add variety to his ineptitude he decided to hit the third guy to force in a run. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Currently watching the Cubs @ Cardinals. Already 1-0 Shlubs on a Rizzo homer in the top of the first.
Wild night in STL with the hated Cubs in town to face the Cardinals and the third game of the Stanley Cup Final set to get underway in about 30 minutes. Between the 45.000 or so at the Cardinal game and the 20,000 or so with tickets to the Bruins/Blues game plus everyone else hanging around for the pre-game parties the local news said there are over 100.000 people in downtown STL right now.
EDIT: And Goldschmidt just tied it with a homer in the bottom of the first. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Watched the Pirates lose in 13 innings to the Brewers. A game they definitely deserved to lose. Too many blown opportunities in this one. | |

| As expected severe storms have caused a delay in the Cubs/Cards game so I flipped over to the NHL Final and saw Boston score two goals in about 5 minutes so now I'm watching the Boston/New York game. Two teams I hate; can't they just fight to the death for it? _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

That was cool. So was the result. Go Raptors. I don't follow the NBA even a little bit but I couldn't help but see all the stories about that idiot Drake being allowed in the bench area with the Raptors, giving the coach a neck massage and basically trying to make himself the center of attention. That's plenty enough to make me root against Toronto even if I don't actually give a crap; I just want to see that a-hole's heart get broken. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.
