Abilene Christian U winning their tourney and going to the Big Dance.

Right now the ACU women trying to do the same thing. Huge deal here in Abilene as ACU just went up to D-1 a few years ago.

St Louis U. won their tournament and are Madness-bound.

Watching the selection show and I'm sorry but I think your ACU team is going to be one and done; they drew Kentucky in the first round.

Oh, yeah. We know. It was just fun to watch and see their name up on TV. My wife works at ACU and my daughter runs track for them so we feel a kinship to the team. We are fully aware that a slaughter is in the future.

Duke seems to be a real polarizing school; people either like them or loathe them, there's no middle ground.

And I loathe them!

Various tourney games.  I'm not really into it this year; I only filled out two brackets. 

Currently watching SM74's ACU team try to score against Kentucky.

Well I see it's over 79-44.  Ouch!  I switched over to Villanova vs St. Mary's as soon as it started.

Yeah, it was rough to watch...but cool as well. First time dancing. UK was just way to long/tall. ACU gave great effort throughout, though.

Watch the Golden Gophers mini upset.

Watched Wofford shoot the lights out. They must SCARE UK...because they can nail those threes and a hot 3 shooting team is a recipe for a runaway upset. Of course, if the threes aren't falling, it could get ugly in a hurry.

That was the best opening round my brackets have ever had.  The only game I missed was Baylor/Syracuse.

Watched some NCAA action last night.

Currently have LSU and Maryland game on now.

Various NCAA tournament games.  No big upsets so far today.

Today's games were a lot more interesting than yesterday's games. 

First Tennessee pulled out an overtime win over Iowa then Duke hung on to squeak by UCF by a point (sorry nevermore).

Great games today.

Tacko Fall jumped STRAIGHT UP. No foul, bad call. In fact, Zion had two offensive fouls in one play uncalled.

Watched the Penguins beat the Rangers 5-2

Opening day of MLB!! Dodgers won big!! Currently watching the Mariners beat up on the Red Sox.

New year, same old Cardinals.

Jumped out to a 3-0 lead, gave up 3 homers, struck out 11 times and ended up losing when the final out was caught just over the wall.  Cards lost 5-4.  Ho hum.

What was most disappointing (besides ersatz "ace" Miles Mikolas giving up 3 homers in 5 innings) was new Cardinal Paul Goldschmidt fanning 3 times. It's like he caught "Cardinal Disease".

Of course he had a horrendous start last year too for the D-backs so I'm not too worried after just one game.

I caught the end of the Pirates owner at the Reds. As usual, they let a 2-1 lead deteriorate into a 5-3 loss. It was good to see Jung Ho Kang back in good form, knocking in 2 runs.

He's back? I thought they cut him loose after all his problems.

Yeah, after he got all his legal issues cleared up he was able to renew his visa and the Pirates cleared him to return to the organization. He played in AAA Indianapolis all of last year except for the last remaining series against the Reds. He apparently did well enough in spring training to make to the opening day roster. However, I do believe he will be a free agent after this season.

Watching the Cubs and Rangers.

Wow these Elite 8 games have been fantastic! No #1's left!!

Watched the Cardinals pen blow a lead.
