This is a thread for guest appearances that really made an impact on the sound of a given band.
The first one that comes to mind for me is Roger Martinez's appearance on Sacred Warrior's "The Flood":
Another one would be Ozzy/Slash's appearance on Motorhead's "I Ain't No Nice Guy":
What say you?

'Close My Eyes Forever'? That was a Lita tune with Ozzy guesting.
I like this one from Steve Jones with guest vocals from Axl.

Anything Rob Rock does.
Anything Jorn Lande does.
Dale Thompson singing Stryper songs when Bride and Stryper toured together. Coolest thing I ever saw in concert.

This is a country track, but I love the guitar work that Tom Keifer adds to it. It makes it sound like something that could have been on Heartbreak Station.

Only one REALLY stands out - Beat It - Van Halen guitar solo. Casual Eddie magic. Just thinking of it ...when that song hit the radio.... Branded - upon me. Not the easiest solo to duplicate either. I read somewhere that it was done in one take.
