| Cardinals vs the Chicago Maddons
3-0 Cards in the bottom of the 7th.
I wasn't sure what to make of the acquisition of Miles Mikolas by the Cards from the Japanese league but this is now the 4th game in a row where he's thrown at least 7 innings and he's allowed 3 runs or less in all 4. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Maddons vs Cards
The Cubs jumped out to a 4-0 lead but then STL tied it up. Cubs went up 6-4, Cards tied it up in the 9th.
But now Bud Norris is coming out of the game in the 10th with an apparent arm injury. We already lost Tommy Pham this game with a groin issue, Molina with the same and Dominic Leone went on the DL last night with an arm issue. The injury bug is biting STL in the ass. At least it's doing it early in the season.
EDIT: Wow! Cards won 8-6 on a Kolten Wong 2-run homer in the bottom of the 10th. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Well I was watching the finale of the Cubs / Cardinals on ESPN until the storms that have been here for the past hour and a half apparently finally reached downtown STL. Rain delay. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I was quite surprised to see STL won that game. I'm glad I went to bed though since it didn't end until 1am _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Watching the Twins vs Cards
AAA pitcher John Gant is starting tonight in Wainwright's place and it's already 1-0 Twins. Gant doesn't look sharp. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I see James Paxton no-hit Toronto tonight. I swear that eagle trying to land on him a few weeks back was the best thing that ever happened to him; he's been a better pitcher since that incident. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Watched the Pirates beat the White Sox 10-6 in a come from behind victory. Two things I've taken away from this year's team: Ivan Nova just doesn't seem to have it this year and Corey Dickerson was a great pick up. | |

| One other thing to take away from this season so far is that the NL Central is going to be a 4 team dogfight.
Today I watched the Maddons destroy the other Chicago team (unfortunately). Cardinals are on the dreaded West Coast swing so I probably won't see much of tonight's game against San Diego. Cards won 2-1 last night so the offense STILL isn't clicking. Losing Molina is also an offensive loss these days. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| The Giants are coming to Pittsburgh for a 3 game series, featuring the return of Andrew McCutchen. He should get a great welcome. | |

| He should. He was the face of the Pirates for a number of years.
On a similar note, can you believe the Angels and Albert Pujols have STILL never played here in St. Louis? I think the first couple of years after he left that's probably a good thing but I also think most fans here have long since gotten over his leaving and would give him a standing "O" upon returning.
I think the Angels finally play in STL next year and hopefully Albert will still be in the lineup then. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I don't know all the back story with Pujols and the Cards but I find that hard to believe he has never come back to St. Louis to play. There was no bad blood between Cutch and the Bucs, they just basically salary dumped him, pissing off the entire fan base. It's certainly a game I wish I could have attended. | |

| Watching the Cardinal pregame show and they just showed McCutchen's first AB back in Pittsburgh. Sounded like he got a nice ovation. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.
