Dang, DB, you've been killin' it lately with those Half Price Books hauls (aside from their goof with that Nevermore disc). Wish they had stores in my area.
That said, I had some luck @ the Goodwill today...
Half Price Books can be a crapshoot. For years I've found almost nothing at HPB in the area I lived (probably because I bought all the good things they had ). When I got my new job, I tried hitting up various HPB in my various routes and found next to nothing there either. Then I got a permanent route and my fortune changed. There are probably a lot of people in the area who listen to good music and are selling off their collections.
Some nice finds there, especially the Flotsam album. In my experience, used Flotsam CDs don't turn up too often. Also, from what I read about it, that Petra album seems like a gem far removed from their boring alt rock stage between the late 90s/early 2000s. Might have to seek that one out myself. Wonder if it might be in HPB Contemporary Christian section?

^^ That Petra CD is surprisingly badass, yea. I honestly am not all that familiar with them, the only other CD of theirs I've ever owned was "Wake Up Call" (which, coincidentally, was another Goodwill find, haha!) and that one was waaaay too schmaltzy/wimpy for me... Someone at another forum i frequent suggested I try Jekyll & Hyde before I gave up on 'em entirely, cuz it's apparently a lot harder edged than most of their stuff and yea, that disc is definitely more up my alley.
Back in topic: Made an EPIC yard sale score this AM! I filled in a lot of holes in my RUSH catalog, and grabbed a few other odds n ends too
RUSH: A Farewell To Kings Permanent Waves Signals Grace Under Pressure Hold Your Fire Presto Roll the Bones Clockwork Angels
Plus Deep Purple - Perfect Strangers David Lee Roth - A Little Ain't Enough
All in great shape, all for a buck each. Happy dance!

I have that. I think it's a pretty good comp of the Rush years I like best.
It's a good comp for sure. Not a bad pickup for $6.50 either.

I haven't listened to that thing in forever and yet I STILL remember the "Cowgirl" track.

Yes, Sir! I love it. I actually bought it on CD and cassette in the past week. The first track, "Cowgirl" sold me and the rest of the album is equally stellar. They kept popping in up in my online searches and I happened upon the disc at a local shop so I grabbed it for like $7 shipped. Btw, someone made their own vid for Cowgil on youtube and it has real cowgirls, haha.

Weekend haul...
69 Eyes, The - X (CD/DVD) Bonfire - Fireworks Empire - The Raven Ride Empire - Trading Souls Kick Axe - Rock The World (Reissue w/Bonus Track) McQueen Street - McQueen Street Mountain Of Power - Volume Two Orchid - The Mouth Of Madness Origin - Antithesis Pale Divine - Crimson Tears (w/Bonus Track) Powerwolf - The Sacrament Of Sin (2CD) Preview - Preview (Reissue) Rise And Shine - Empty Hand Spirit Caravan - Elusive Truth They Might Be Giants - Phone Power
Does the remastering make a significant difference? I have both of those albums on CD already so it's not worth re-buying them unless the difference is pretty noticeable.
