First Goodwill Store find in several months. It ain't much but I'll take it:
Poison - Native Tongue
I have been to several of those and never found anything (except a Tran-Siberian Orchestra shirt). That album would have been a treasure compared to what I found at those places.

XYZ - Letter to God Bitch - The Bitch Is Back Sons of Angels - Sons of Angels

I pass this Goodwill on my way to work, so I've made it a habit to stop in there once every week or so to scrounge thru the CDs. It had been a fairly reliable watering hole for the past year or two; I've found some pretty good stuff there.... till recently, when the good finds just seemed to suddenly dry up. Every time I stopped by, I'd see the same crap discs that had been gathering dust there since my previous visit.
So when I found Native Tongue I was like "FINALLY!" I never thought I'd be so happy to see a frickin Poison album!

I think that album is vastly underrated; at least by people who don't think Poison sucks (of which I'm one). I find a lot to like on that album and it's the one that made me start investigating what Richie Kotzen was all about.

One in the mail today...
Ginger Wildheart - Ghost In The Tanglewood (w/Bonus Tracks)
I already have this, but got a good deal on the Japanese edition with three bonus tracks.

As you know I'm a fan of that album but that one doesn't do very much for me. It's OK but I can see why it was relegated to "bonus track" status.
Really? It definitely doesn't fit the theme of the album, nor do the other two bonus tracks, but I love it. I think all three bonus tracks are great, but they just have a different vibe.
I have the UK version coming (also got it cheap) and it has two other bonus tracks. I'll send all of them to you once I have them.

I never particularly dis-liked Poison, but I was never a big time fan either. They're the kind of band whose "Greatest Hits" album normally would be enough for me.
...that said, Native Tongue is pretty good stuff. Trading in that circus clown CC Deville for Richie Kotzen was definitely an upgrade. Too bad they couldn't keep him around for more than one album.
...tho if memory serves, Richie got canned cuz they caught him banging Rikki Rockett's fiance (!) on their tour bus... so I guess even if the Grunge movement hadn't come along and made Poison irrelevant, Richie's tenure with them was destined to be brief, .

I had my best finds at Half Price Books in recent memory today. Usually I have some real good finds and some "what the hell" purchases. This time I had so many good finds I only partook in on "what the hell":
They gave me the wrong disc (they keep the actual CDs behind the counter) so I will have to go back tomorrow on one of my runs. The location number on the CD was messed up and I got Enemies Of Reality by mistake.
This alone would have made the trip worthwile. Primal Fear is hard to find in used stores.
This was the "what the hell" purchase:
With Geoff's track record, I'm taking a chance with this.
Lots of other great stuff there but I already had them. Good thing because I spent enough money:
Armored Saint-Revelation Evergrey-Recreation Da Evergrey-Monday Morning Apocalypse Evergrey-The Inner Circle Nevermore-Enemies Of Reality Nevermore-This Godless Endeavor Nevermore-Dead Heart In A Dead World
I really like that Primal Fear album; it's the last one I bought from them.
Metal Is Forever is one of my favorite metal songs (my first Primal Fear song and the name of my first PF album-a compilation) so I was particularly thrilled that this is the album that song is from. I'm still on a finder's high from coming across this!
With Geoff's track record, I'm taking a chance with this.
Pretty crappy album, but "Re-inventing the Future" is an excellent tune. I love that one. The rest? Meh to awful.
Luckily, it was only $5 (less than a half hour of work before overtime). I might just return it as I have 7 days. I'll give it a listen tomorrow before I decide.

Dang, DB, you've been killin' it lately with those Half Price Books hauls (aside from their goof with that Nevermore disc). Wish they had stores in my area.
That said, I had some luck @ the Goodwill today...
