Then check out early Diamond Dogs and Dog d'Amour if you haven't already. Same style.
The Dogs d'Amour have an "Original Album Series" set with their first 5 albums that I've been eyeing. It's bare bones, no bonus tracks or anything like that, but the price is reasonable.
Where a good place to start with the Diamond Dogs?

Ghost- Prequelle Vinyl with 7" as part of my bundle order. Still waiting on the other stuff. Always surprising to me how when a company knows a bands album is coming out they never get stuff done in time. I guess with the rise of vinyl they get back logged.

Got out of work early yesterday, so I stopped by the beer distributor and the thrift shop. Got a case of Schofferhofer Grapefruit beer and these:
Slaughter - Stick It To Ya (w/2 bonus tracks) The Who - Tommy (remastered) Trans Siberian Orchestra - The Christmas Attic Antonio Carlos Jobim - Jobim's Finest Hour
Never been much of a Slaughter fan (although I did have this album on tape many moons ago), but it just didn't feel right to leave it behind amongst all the religious and Christmas cds for only .99 cents.

I'd start with Up The Rock. That's the first album I heard. I actually like their earlier stuff better but those are more all over the place style-wise. Some punk, some blues, some Black Crowes type stuff - sometimes all in one song.
If Up The Rock isn't your cup o tea, try Too Much Is Always Better Than Not Enough which contains this:

Ah "Sinful"...
The stories I could tell from listening to that album in college. Angel was one of the few bands that males and females seemed to both like...thankfully.

My first serious girlfriend in college loved "Sinful". Consequently even though I haven't listened to that album in ages I still remember a lot of it.
EDIT: Wow. I'm revisiting the album on Youtube. It certainly hasn't aged well. Although my favorite track from back in the day "LA Lady" still sounds pretty good to me. But there's way too much keyboard on this album for the most part.

Holy crap, I've been waiting for a new Bosstones album for forever. I went to Amazon looking for a Bosstones T shirt and discovered this new album which was just released on 6/15.
Mighty Mighty Bosstones has become one of my favorite bands so I'm psyched to have some new music from them!

I'm a big fan. This one is pretty poppy. Probably not surprising at this point. Wish they'd bring back that heavier edge they used to have.
