Every three day weekend, Movie Trading Company has a buy 2 get 1 free sale on pre-owned DVDs, Games, and CDs. I decided to hit one of these because I actually had an easy Saturday at work and was able to take a lunch break:
New CDs aren't part of the sale, but I was going to get this from Amazon eventually and it was at a good price:

How's that Pop Evil?
They played a couple of acoustic songs from that album on our local Fox news station a couple weeks ago when the band was in town for a show. I wasn't too impressed; they sounded like "modern rock" but it's hard to tell from an acoustic set. I definitely didn't hear "Boss's Daughter" though.

I'll let you know when I listen to it. I love the first two, and Onyx was decent, but Up didn't make much of an impression on me. I wasn't sure I would get anything after that, but this was used at a good price and qualified for my freebie. If it's anything like Up, I may be over this band.

I have that Black Lab album but I couldn't remember why so I checked the track listing. Right away I remembered hearing "Wash It Away" on the St. Louis alternative station back around the time I moved here in the mid 90s.

Another easy day that had me checking out Half-Price Books which was having a 20% off everything sale:
Had a Kip Wiger signature on it.
I'll need to take a CD buying break after this.

Yeah, luckily, the area my route is on seems to have a lot of people selling off their metal albums. I take a lunch break to browse those places from time to time and almost always walk away with a good find. There's particularly a lot of death and grindcore. Not my thing most of the time but since I started going to these places I've gotten many classics in those genres.

It's never too late to discover the Ramones
I don't have that particular comp (my starting point was their earlier Ramones Mania best-of) but I know several folks who do and it's a damn fine collection/intro to their catalog.

Hit up a couple used shops in Portland, Maine, this weekend. Scored some good stuff...
Airbourne - Diamond Cuts: The B-Sides Beyond The Black - Lost In Forever (w/Bonus Tracks) Jonny Lang - Turn Around Kobra And The Lotus - Prevail II (w/Bonus Track) Various Artists - Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey Zodiac Mindwarp And The Love Reaction - Tattooed Beat Messiah
Not sure if they're selling that Airbourne disc separately now, but this place had two alone, so whatever. Don't need the others in that lame excuse for a box set anyway.

Good stuff, FF. Mine is still woefully lacking, but I am working on it. I do spin that one pretty regularly, though.

Thanx! I've had Live at the Inferno (and Wiped Out, which I just got on disc this past week) on vinyl forever but since I haven't owned a turntable in years and am not likely to get another one anytime soon, it was high time to I finally close out the Raven collection on CD.

Bullmoose was one, yeah. The other was Electric Buddhas, which had a couple other good CDs that were way overpriced. He had a used copy of Death Angel's The Ultra-Violence, which I would have gladly bought at a reasonable price, but he had it priced at $47.
Anyway, the Airbourne CD was $6.97.
