Squeeze- The Singles: 45's and Under
That's the only Squeeze album I have. I mainly bought it because I wanted a copy of "Tempted" but I discovered I like several other Squeeze songs as well, like Pulling Mussels From A Shell, Black Coffee in Bed and Is That Love. But Tempted is still far and away my favorite Squeeze song.

I knew a few songs from them, not a major fan but I do enjoy their quirky pop tunes.

That's it exactly, "quirky pop tunes". Sort of the same way I feel about Elvis Costello.

I'm pretty sure that's the only Squeeze song I know. Great tune !

I'd never heard of this band before but I'm listening to Science Fiction on YouTube and I'm digging it. One review says Jethro Tull meets Meatloaf and that sounds about right. I hear a lot of Tull in the music but the vocals are more reminiscent of a Jim Steinman-produced Meatloaf album with the lush vocal harmonies.

OK, I'm a new "convert". Just bought:
Listening to it now and I'd throw some Dark Side-era Pink Floyd into the description of their sound too. And I think they need to add a flute to the mix. I hear so many places in the music where a flute solo a la Tull or Horslips would fit perfectly.

Excellent band, man. I stumbled across them on YouTube last year. Saw the video thumbnail and thought the singer was Jerry Cantrell. Pleasantly surprised by what I heard.

Checked out a Salvation Army store yesterday after a fishing tournament. Not many CDs, but I did grab two.
John Mellencamp - Wild Night (CD Single w/Non-LP Tracks) One Hitter - Get The Groove (EP)
One Hitter is an old local band from the 90s (album came out in 1996). Never heard of them before, but I always like to grab these kinds of CDs when they're this cheap.
Pretty cool CD, too. Kind of a 90s funky alt-rock/jam band style.

I do think that they sound as though one more instrument would complete the sound but this kicks ass as it is.
