While neither one is exactly that popular with a lot of fans, if you were forced to choose between one of these two infamous Metallica albums, which one would you choose?

I think they're both great albums, but Load is a bit better overall.

I would keep distance from any Metallica album after the "black album" by a 100 mile or more.
But if someone is pushing down my throat either of these, i would opt Load, and then I would kill him.

I like both a lot but I prefer ReLoad with its more bluesy sensibilities.

I've heard Load. It's not terrible, just very different. Something I personally wouldn't buy.
I've never heard Re-Load, so I'm not gonna vote.
I'm not much of a Metallica fan anyway, so I haven't really bothered.

I couldn't tell you a song from either so I guess I would go with Unload as it appears to be lagging behind.

I had Load but could never get into it and eventually traded it off. I only ever heard a few songs from Reload and wasn't impressed.

I do not like either one, though these days I can appreciate them a bit more for what they are. Cannot vote though.

They both suck. A two way tie for last.

If you cherry pick from both discs you'd have enough decent tracks for one solid album.

Never heard either album in full, only the crappy songs they overplayed on the radio. Out of the crappy songs I've heard, I guess Load would get my vote.

Reload. Only because i do not own load nor had the chance to give it a solid listen. But both are bad imho. Of course, both are still better than St Anger.

I voted Reload, as I was presently surprised by it when I listened to it before seeing Metallica live this past summer. Neither of these albums is something I listen to on a regular basis, but I don't think they are all that bad either.

'Load', 'Reload', which I understand was recorded at the same time, was not as good as 'Reload'

I always thought this was an underrated track from Reload:

Yup. Great tune. Both albums have a lot of solid tunes. Very underrated albums, though I completely understand why a lot of fans have issues with them being Metallica albums.
