Load/ReLoad Redo

OK, so most people agree that Load and ReLoad were Metallica's weaker albums; there is no debating that. However, there were some good songs on both of these albums that some fans enjoy.

In reality, these two albums were essentially written as one album. Since the run times was so long, and the band decided against a double album, the two were released in successive years ('96 and '97). Sometimes long albums are good, but sometimes they result in tons of filler tracks.

So, my question to you all is:

If you could combine Load and Reload together into one album, what songs would make the cut?

Try to make the run time between 35:00 and 80:00 minutes. In other words, try not to do the following:

These albums suck. The perfect album to replace these two would be an hour of farting.

I would actually argue that these two aren't the band weakest. That prize goes to St. Anger.

Yeah, St. Anger is a pile of crap, one of the worst "metal" albums ever released—by a professional band, anyway.

I think Load and Reload are great ROCK albums. Thinking of them in any other context will lead to disappointment. Metal, they ain't.

Load & Reload were the only two Metallica albums that i could not find a single good song on. nothing appealed to me.

Actually, if they had condensed them like that, I'd probably like them a whole lot better.

And I agree with Ult. Their weakest moment is definitely "St. Crapper".

But yeah, these two would be the next in line for worst.

well since I LOVE Load, the only change id make would be to add Unforgiven II from Reload

HOWEVER I havent spun Reload in ages so I dont know if my opinion of it has changed or not. I'll need to give it a respin

Addy, what do you think of "Death Magnetic"?

Geez, it's been so long since I listened to both of those albums that I'm having a hard time remembering most of the songs. The only ones that stand out as being songs I kinda liked would barely fill an ep.
