New annihilator: for the demented (2017)

Just found out that annihilator will release their new album this November, titled for the demented.

Honestly the new song does nothing for me, but i prefer to wait until the album is out.

That song's not bad. I see Jeff is still handling the vocals. Heck, I still need to pick up the last release, too.

I used to love these guys, but I've totally fallen off the bandwagon. Too many other bands and I also didn't like the direction (or the vocals).

I don't mind his vocals but most of the newer stuff seems kind of blah.

Both feast and suicide society left me kind of meeeh. I hope this one delivers better.

I dunno what it is with Jeff. His last album was pretty damn solid. But I heard it once and never really had the inkling to return. I feel like he's stuck in a rut through no fault of his own.

It's gotta be hard, doing anything thrash metal these days.

...While some other old school bands are still on a full thrash mode: testament, overkill, kreator, sodom and onslaught only to name a few

I like it. Padden's vox would have really improved this track though.

Agreed; I miss him.

I don't like when Jeff does the vocals. He needs to concentrate on just playing guitar.

I don't think he has a bad voice, but it isn't very dynamic. Gets old after a few tracks.

I agree.

With a good singer, annihilator can do wonders.

I think Liege Lord was supposed to release new stuff with Comeau, and also to re-release the early albums, but I haven't heard from that lately.

I would imagine he has enough time to make it work. Comeau's got a great heavy metal voice.

That's been frustrating; I've been checking on those Liege Lord reissues once a week for over a year now and there's been zip. They drop a huge announcement that it's gonna happen once a year and then radio silence. Whatever; at least they're still touring.

I am highly interested in those liege lord reissues as well. No trace so far!!!

I forgot about that. I have the original but would love new stuff.

I'll just say I wish the rest of the album was more like Twisted Lobotomy.

I have it & It's exceptional. Better than the last one which I still thought was good.
