That will go great with my pot roast.

On our trip to Europe I had some Belgian Beer I liked and recently had Sam Adams Coastal Wheat that I really liked. I'm not a beer drinker per se, more of a social drinker at gatherings, so I'm trying to find things I can enjoy while at a party.

| Guys, I've learnt that you can get Carlsberg Elephant Beer in America these days - It's a strong one, 7,2% ABV and comes in 33 cl bottles (I think that's what you Americans call "11,2 oz") - Pick up a six pack if you can, their about 7 dollars a' pack (at least that's what the american guy on youtube said) - Now, it's not my favourite (that honor goes to Albani's Giraffe!) danish beer, but it's still great, and way better than the piss you Americans usually drink - Hope the imported version stays true to the original! | |

When I used to live in Indiana, we had this really cool chain of liquor stores called Big Red Liquors. I knew that Lars & the boys used to drink Carlsberg Elephant Beer, so since I was a fan boy, I knew that it would have to be my new beer of choice (this goes back almost 20 years). This place had a really nice import selection, and wouldn't you know it, they carried the beer. I probably drank that stuff for a good couple years, before I moved onto something else. I will agree with you as it pertains to the piss beer most Americans drink, that is unless you spend a few bucks on some really good micro brews. I'll pit many of those against what is produced around the world.

| I miss the old Black and Tan. Good stuff.
I knew Pumpkin Ale was due out soon but I'm psyched that I could pick up a sixer on my birthday. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

This stuff is so good that I decided to forego my plans to order a Sicilian style deep dish pizza for my birthday so I could afford the calorie intake of this beer.

Carlsberg Elephant is, in my experience, not too hard to come by in America (or, at least, Minnesota and Wisconsin). I think it's pretty good. Had a glass of Paulaner's Salvator (doppel bock) tonight. That is up there as one of my favorite beers.

I've seen that but I've never tried it. Guess I need to check it out. But that won't happen until Schlafly's Pumpkin Ale disappears again so don't hold your breath.

| Shlafly's Pumpkin Ale usually hangs around until a week after Halloween. I'll be stocking up on it again this year like I always do. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

I can relate to that. I drank some major swill back in the day including Red, White & Blue and the dreaded Kroger generic "BEER" in the yellow can.
