| Personally, I despise the direction these bands went after their first two to four albums. But I LOVE the first three albums from all of these bands. So this poll is about whom did it best during the early years. | |

| Out of those bands, I say Megadeth by a long shot, but my personal favotite/s would be a tie between Mercyful Fate and Slayer. | |

| To me it comes down to Perfect Man and Secrets in a Weird World vs Peace Sells and Rust in Peace.
I went with Rage. | |

| Voted Megadeth. Forbidden were great back then as well. They came back with Omega Wave which was a good return to form for them. | |

| Rust in peace is a genuine masterpiece but rage had more interesting offerings in general for this period. | |

| First two Megadeth albums are untouchable (as is their fourth) I like all of these band's ealy stuff but it isn't close. | |

| Megadeth by far. Never was one for Grave Digger or Running Wild. Forbidden was cool though. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

| I think it'd be more interesting if you had to rank the 5.
Or at least eliminate 1990 (Rust in Peace), and make it strictly 80's. | |
