"After careful consideration, with the support of Frontiers and understanding the appeals from QUIET RIOT fans to have our vocalist James Durbin represented on the new QUIET RIOT release, we have made the decision to move forward and have James replace all the vocals on 'Road Rage' with new lyrics and melodies for a summer 2017 release. Stay tuned

I give this Durbin guy 6 months. He's in the honeymoon-phase now, but after playing state fairs and podunk bars in front of 10 people for no money, he'll bail.
Remember when LA Guns had that girl reality star contestant singing in the bad for a hot minute? Same situation. Reality sets in and it get's old real quick.

I honestly think all of this "plucking reality stars" thang really, REALLY makes the older 80's bands and the community that still loves them look like a pile of used-up shit. I actually respect Warrant for sticking with Mason and I actually respect King Kobra for sticking with Shortino, etc. But this Ratt/Quiet Riot/LA Guns thing is a joke.

I think the reality stars get a false sense of "reality". Being on one of those Hollywood-produced shows, it's all glitz and glamour. Nice sets, professional equipment, good catering, full audience of clapping, trained seals, everyone telling you how great you are.
Then they join a has-been 80's band and see it's all dive-bars, no crowds, broken sh*tty equipment, hours in a crowded van and no payoff.

Then, MG, maybe some of them do end up paying their dues. Carrie Underwear or any of those other slack-hags have never ridden in broken down vans. Agree with you fully.
Today's development in this pathetic drama: Seann Nicols is now planning on releasing his own version of the Road Rage album with a different lineup. Skip ahead to around 58:45

Faaaantastic! So instead of ONE album no one gives a crap about, we're gonna get TWO!
Seriously, someone is wayyyy overestimating his marquee value. Must be that Lead Singer's Disease we keep hearing about.

3 technically. While it may not see the light of day anytime soon, you have the original Road Rage album with Sean Whosawhasit on vocals to go with the soon-to-be released James Turdbin version, and Sean's newly recorded version with his band.
Blotzer should release his own version too and call it the new Ratt album. Because why not at this point?

Coincidentally, BlotzRatt played their first live gig with their new singer, the guy who'd been in Quiet Riot for about five minutes, this past weekend too.

I don't hate Durbin's voice, too bad he's joining a soap opera.
Yea, I don't really have an opinion on his vocal abilities. I just think he's fooling himself if he thinks this is going to get him anywhere.
QR will sign-on do do some festivals or package shows for the summer and it'll seem awesome for awhile. But then it's back to dank, empty clubs and no money. Then he'll be just another "whatever happened to that guy?".
