I like all of Argento's output from the 70's and 80's but my favorite is the terribly sadistic Opera. I would say it has the most coherent story of all his work as well.
Phenomena is a great one as well.
Suspiria is just a visual punch to the gut. That's what I love about it so much. Story is thin, but that's Argento for ya.
To gain entry into the "cool" clique, a mousy high-school girl is ordered to sneak into a mausoleum after dark and stay inside till morning. Unfortunately for her, the body of a recently-deceased psychic inside the tomb doesn't take kindly to his rest being disturbed. An entertainingly silly - though surprisingly light on gore and boobs - early '80s horror flick from Tom McLaughlin, who went on to direct my favorite "Friday the 13th" movie ("Part VI: Jason Lives").

I haven't seen this in years but I stilled giggled like a Japanese school girl through the whole thing. I might have to watch the sequel tonight.

I saw this one in the theaters. I remember it being almost like a tv movie.

IMDb sez it was rated "PG," which was unusual for a horror film at that time (it also explains the lack of gore and boobs, haha).
I'd never even heard of this movie till it turned up on Amazon Prime. It ended up being a pretty decent watch. The late great Adam West even turns up in a bit part, which was a nice surprise.

Midway through S1 of The Handmaid's Tale, and it certainly deserved every Emmy thrown at it. Kind of a cruel, depressing, and difficult show to sit through, tho.

Thoughts on that so far? I felt the first episode was hamstrung and overwrought. More broad strokes than previous seasons, which is saying a lot.

I've been giving this show one last chance for an age now and the first two episodes didn't bode well, but this weeks episode the season took off like a rocket and I'm really looking forward to seeing how it all develops.

Between some red herrings, symbolism(blue hair, white hair, can red be far behind?),and political satire, I've found this season to be rather interesting.
Finally got around to watching 'Captain America:Civil War' and was pleasantly surprised.
I'm getting a little burned out on all the super hero movies, but I thought the "Civil War" story line was well done. I was semi-familiar with the source material, so maybe that helped. All those characters in it could have been a real cluster-f**k too, but I thought they did a nice job with it.
Now I actually want to see the new Spiderman movie.

You should see Spider-man. It's really good. Michael Keaton plays a great villain in it (the Vulture, in case you didn't know).

"Quantum of Solace" (2008)
Daniel Craig's second turn as 007 takes James Bond to Italy, Austria, Haiti and Bolivia on the trail of an industrial criminal who plans to take control of South America's water supply. "QoS" is generally considered to be Craig's weakest Bond outing but it's got enough fast paced butt kicking action in it to make me forgive the fairly pedestrian plot.

And still the only Bond film I have yet to see.

"Kong: Skull Island" (2017)
It's 1973 and the Vietnam War has just ended. A group of scientists and their military escorts set out to explore an uncharted South Seas island... and discover not only the giant guardian ape Kong, but lots of other huge nasty creatures who don't take kindly to trespassers. If you put "Apocalypse Now" and "Jurassic Park" in a blender you'd have this movie. The casting is great (esp. Samuel L. Jackson as the half-crazed military commander) and the effects are impressive, it's not a classic in the making but fans of Giant Monster Cinema should find this "Kong" entertaining enough.

"Skyfall" (2012)
Daniel Craig's 3rd James Bond film pits 007 against a disgraced former double-O agent turned cyber-terrorist (Javier Bardem) who carries a pretty major grudge against MI6 in general and Bond's boss "M" (Judi Dench) in particular. Sam Mendes' epic thriller is about fifteen minutes too long but otherwise it's absorbing spy-and-counterspy action.

Started watching the old tv series In Search of... hosted by Leonard Nimoy, which dealt with mysterious phenomena. If you were a child of the 70s, chances are you watched this program. I found it fascinating then, somewhat curious and amusing now. The first episode dealt with the possibility of plants communicating amongst themselves and to humans.

I watched the live action 'Beauty & The Beast' the other night with my kids. It was alright. Little too heavy on the musical numbers for my taste, but I neither fell asleep nor was on my phone for it's entirety, so it kept my interest. Never saw the cartoon version, so I don't know how the 2 compare.
One critique though. I thought the CGI Beast was a little stiff. With all that Disney cash, you think they could've done a better job. Maybe it would've been better using traditional make-up and practical effects. CGI isn't always the best option.
