I understand wanting to cut costs, but some areas i dont think cost should be cut. Example submarines, he wants to cut costs on making them but he wants more of them. I just foresee alot of issues due to cuts on this, I dont expect many to get this but this is a big thing near my neck of the woods (def. my hometown) I expect those who live in VA might get it too, (you newport news types hehe)

I voted for him and I dont hate muslims. I do want to see us keep folks who want to blow up buildings and shoot other people kept out of the country. I have mixed feelings on the immigration orders in effect right now but if people would just stop trying to kill each other it would make it so much easier for people to emigrate and work to find their slice of happiness.

Maybe I'll rephrase it to the people who voted for him *but still support what he is doing*. Although, he has said the whole time he'd be doing the Muslim ban....so, if someone still voted for him then they knew what they were supporting in advance. Whereas other areas they might not have known about, like, how could we know that he and Bannon and a couple other dudes would be working so surgically to cut off any branch of government that could circumvent them...and that actual, normal, decent human being type of republicans in congress, etc., would sit back and go along with things that they believe are unconstitutional or un-American.

Why is it OK to brand all Trump voters as ignorant, bigoted sheep but if I said something like all Obama voters are tree-hugging pansies just looking for free shit, I'm a racist?  And before anyone jumps my case, while I make no apologies for my hatred of thankfully ex-President Obama, my issues were with his narcissistic, self-righteous attitude and his polices; nothing to do with the people who actually voted for him. My question above is actually a paraphrasing of a comment I read on an article about how people on the left are reacting to Trump's presidency and I agree with the question. It IS a double standard.

Both sides love to paint things in black and white when in reality I think the vast majority of America is actually a picture in various shades of gray.  I wish both cons and libs would quit with the namecalling and just for once try for a healthy exchange of ideas.

and here is the part most of the folks who rely on the media for their information miss - Trumps ban seeks to remove "those who engage in acts of bigotry, or hatred and those who would oppress americans of any race, gender, sexual orientatuon." None of the networks managed to read the order and actually present what its goal is. Kinda shameful on the major media outlets.

The other facts lost to low information mainstream media folks is US law currently rejects immigrants on the basis of being drug abusers, nazis, those likely to end up on welfare, health concerns and 'moral terpitude. Should we remove these bans on folks from these classes?

My approach to this topic differs daily. However, based on following Trump's campaign for the last year and some of the people he has chosen for his cabinet/staff/inner circle...I have just have a lot of issues with this whole thing.

I will say, though, that I have never viewed those on the right or republicans as just being racist or bigots. It has nothing to do with that. I have argued, discussed, agreed, disagreed, fought with and made up with best friends who are die hard, hard right republicans/conservatives through Bush v Gore, Bush v Kerry, Obama v McCain and Obama v Romney. And had the republican nominee this time been just about any of those various contenders in the primaries, I would not have the same feelings now. I mean, I would be grossed out by Cruz, but otherwise, you know. Some of those friendships are hanging by threads at the moment.

This time it feels a lot different.

What really irritates me is how people will label other people, like for example "Oh only hillary voters would believe that" or "its the Dems fault this shooting happened" It really pisses me off!!!! Its not just one side its all sides that do this. We are all people are we not?

I have friends who support Trump, I dont but i dont wish failure on him. Ive been finding it challenging from keeping my mouth shut as i am constantly seeing political crap on my feed on fb almost everywhere i go
