All I'll say is that I don't care what ANY celebrities political views are, if they want to voice them in the media or whatever that's fine. What I don't like is when someone does it in a "concert setting". I don't care if it's a comedian or a musician or an actor or whatever and I also don't care what side of the spectrum they are on, if I buy a ticket to a PERFORMANCE that means the person giving the performance has no right to foist their political, religious or any other views on me unless that's within the context of the expected performance.

I'd no more want to hear Denis Leary tell me to vote Republican during one of his comedy performances than I'd want to hear Bruce Springsteen tell me how wonderful liberals are and I need to vote Democrat during one of his concert performances.

It's all about the venue. If you sold tickets based on your artistic abilities and your normal demonstrations of those abilities does not include anything about politics then SHUT THE HELL UP and do what I paid to see you do.

And this is coming from a damn foreigner.

The UN is compromised and without an active foreign policy by the USA, we'd all collectively go back 100 years.

I'll also add that I don't like all these recent CEO picks for cabinet positions.  This latest one for Secretary of State is the worst of the lot IMO.  I don't want someone who is comfy with Russia in that position.

You obviously haven't been paying attention to this thread.  So let's spell it out:

1. I'm for same sex marriage.  I don't care what gender a person loves; love is love.
2. I'm for legalization of pot; use the same rules as alcohol.
3. I'm for legalization of prostitution; police it with state or federal oversite, I don't care.  It's a trade that's been here since humans walked the earth so stop trying to legislate it.
4. I'm pro-choice except for the final tri-mester unless it involves the health of the mother or the state of the baby.  No last-second decisions of a healthy baby otherwise.

Yeah that sounds like a conservative narrative to me.



But I must admit I'm loving that the Rams are still SUCKING!!!!!!  And doing so again tonight. 

I do not recall Toho jumping for joy for either Hillary or Trump.

That being said I am not sure who Trump's base is or what is his political philosophy.

His cabinet choices are such headscratchers even diehard conservatives are not sure what to make of it.

What I do hope, beyond hope is that Trump proves me wrong, that he becomes a good president. That becomes good enough and sensible enough that in four years I will want to vote for him.

But so far, its not looking good. Still I never wish a president to fail, because when they do, they fail big and take alot of us down with them.

BTW just because you don't like Obama, or disagree with Obama does not make one a racist, homophoic or anything else. Obama's policies should be debated, as his legacy should be. The same as any president that preceded as been.

I like a lot of Trump's cabinet choices (mostly the military people because I'm tired of "leading from behind") but I really have a problem with all these business billionaires getting cabinet posts because that sure isn't my definition of "draining the swamp". 

It's looking more and more like the "same ol' swamp" to me; he's just changing the alligators that live in and prosper by it. 

But I'm still hopeful.  As I said, I DO like a lot of the military picks.

Like I've said before, I didn't even bother voting for president in this election because I didn't like either candidate. 

That's sort of amazing to me;  out of all the people born in the United States, this is the best we could come up with?  Really????

Y'know who I feel bad for? Kate McKinnon of "Saturday Night Live." Her Hillary impression during this election cycle was so dead-on that I wanted H.R.C. to win just so I could watch Kate riff on her for the next four years.

This election was demoralizing in my opinion, it revealed alot of ugliness about my country, and not just one side of the aisle, but both sides.

This election was the least inspiring election in my lifetime, and believe that is saying something

Sounds fine, but one question. How on earth does this add up with you wanting Ted Cruz for president? I thought he was ultra conservative?

Erm... Not if you are European they weren't! 100 years ago the First World War was raging and that killed 17 million people, just around the corner was the Spanish Flu outbreak of 1918 which killed roughly double that amount. 100 years ago was an utterly shit time for us!

Everyone's always babbling about the "good ol' days" Ask minorities and women in the US how things were 100 years ago. Ask people with polio, and like you mention the Spanish Flu. Ask people who tore their ACLs, threw out their backs, broke their hips, had children born with cleft-palates, Siamese twins, on and on. US life expectancy in 1916? 49.6 for men and 54.3 for women!
