| Fortunately the Cardinals have the firepower to come back but I got out the next disc of Gotham just in case. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| At least they stopped them after the Palmer fumble. Looks like the Cards are driving now! | |

| The NFC Championship game has turned into a huge laugher. Palmer looks downright awful. | |

| Enjoyed both games, even the ridiculous blowout. It should be an interesting Superbowl, Denver's defense is scary, it will be fun to watch them match up against the Panthers. I'm not really a fan of either team so it will just be a neutral game for me.

| Yeah I think this will be a rather entertaining Super Bowl. I don't really care about either team but I am a Peyton Manning fan and I'd like to see him go out a champ since this will more than likely be his last game. | |

| Watching various college basketball games today in preparation for filling out my futile brackets. This weekend is a little more interesting because it's the annual SEC vs BIG 12 showcase. The games are out of conference for all the teams but it makes for some interesting matchups. So far the BIG 12 has been kicking butt. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Now it's MMA on Fox Sports 1. Switching to "Big" Fox in an hour for the main events. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| This is my "dead" time of the year regarding sports. I only really watch the NFL and MLB. Hockey is something I follow slightly until the playoffs and I can't stand basketball (NBA or NCAA). | |

| Over the weekend I watched the NHL All-Star Game.
This was controversial as people voted in John Scott, an enforcer with only five career NHL goals, to be in the All-Star Game, presumably for a laugh; you can't get any further from Ovechkin, Crosby, Stamkos, or Tavares than him.
Amazingly, he scored two goals and was named the MVP of the All-Star Game. A real underdog story.

| More of my research for my March Madness picks which will of course end up being useless.
#8 Texas A&M at Vandy. Vandy up 40-33 at the half. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| The Superbowl obviously.
But I just saw Lady Gaga sing the National Anthem and I have to admit, take away the meat dress, the coming on stage in an egg and the other nonsense and the woman actually has a great voice. That was a fine rendition of the anthem. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

It used to be OK with bands like The Who, Tom Petty or even Prince but for the last several years the SB halftime has consisted of bands I absolutely hate. This year is no exception. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I also gotta say that the crowd really seems totally disinterested in the game. It's become some such an event that real fans of the participating teams can't even attend (or afford to). | |

| It does seem that way based on the crowd reactions doesn't it?
Anymore, the only people who can afford to go to the Superbowl are "celebrities". The real fans of the teams are at home watching the game on TV. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Nowhere near as good as last year's Super Bowl. | |

| Glad to see Manning go out a champion. The game really surprised me because I fully expected the Panthers to walk all over the Broncos. | |
