| Those two team have some epic pitching matchups. Last night's duel between Syndergaard and Scherzer was great. And tonight's matchup between Gonzalez and everyone's favorite beer league pitcher Colon could be equally great. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Watched the Penguins fall behind the Lightning 4-0 before scoring three 3rd period goals and making a game of it. But, that ended up being the final (4-3 Lightning) and the series is now tied 2-2. | |

| I watched Greinke be Greinke and just dominate the Cardinals. And poor Jaime Garcia pitched better than his line would indicate; every damn ball the D-backs hit found a hole or fell in. AZ won handily 7-2. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Watched the Pens lose to the Lightning 4-3 in overtime. I wasn't too keen on Sullivan starting Fleury but he did and it didn't work out for the Pens. | |

| Tonight the Cubs are in STL. Man I hope we can whoop up on them. But forget Wednesday because Arrieta is pitching. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Mark my words, this guy is going to end up dead, and soon, if he doesn't change his ways. - Quote :
- The problems just keep adding up for Johnny Manziel.
Adding fuel to a litany of legal troubles and personal disgraces, the trainwreck quarterback reportedly is being investigated by the NFL over his involvement in the car accident on the Sunset Strip last month, when he was riding shotgun as enabling pal Ryan Silverstein steered a rental Mercedes into a lightpole.
Neither was charged with a crime in the driving snafu. However, Wayne Schneider of PCLA luxury vehicle rentals alleges to TMZ that the troubling twosome refuse to pay the $90,000 for the damages sustained to the Benz and Manziel has welched on an I.O.U. to purchase him a new ride. It appears Schneider also has reached out to the NFL, with league investigators pressing for details about the incident.
This development comes days after Manziel was tossed from a Las Vegas nightclub for allegedly punching a fellow patron during a surprise Drake set at the Aria hotel. Last month, the unemployed 23-year-old was indicted for domestic violence stemming from an incident with his ex-girlfriend in January.

| Watched the beginning of the Pirates vs. Diamondbacks game. Last I saw the Pirates were winning 6-0 with Polanco knocking in 5 RBI himself. I saw they ended up winning 12-1 despite some boneheaded pitching by Caminero.
I then watched the Penguins vs. Lightning in game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals. The Penguins needed to win to stay alive and they did just that, 5-2. forcing a game 7 on Thursday night. | |

| Today I watched the Cardinals hand Jake Arrieta his worst start in his last 29. He gave up 4 earned runs on 8 hits in 5 innings breaking his streak of 29 straight starts of allowing 3 runs or less, a MLB record.
Unfortunately the Cardinal bullpen was pretty bad. After being down 6-1 with Arrieta on the mound, STL fought back to make it a 6-4 game but the pen promptly gave up a 3-run homer. Final score ended up being 9-8 Cubs. Still a pretty impressive attempt at a comeback against one of the best pitchers in the game and the Almighty Shlubs. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I'm sorry 007 but these Pirate announcers are like watching paint dry. They are so boring.
That's one of the things I really like about watching games on MLB Network; they just carry the local feeds of the home teams so you get an idea about what other teams' announcers sound like. I used to think the Cardinals announcers weren't very good but compared to some of the announcers I see on here, they're Vin Scully. So far the worst announcers I've seen are the Mariners'. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| It's funny though, when something good happens for the Pirates they get as excited as soccer announcers. Then they go back to being comatose.
See, case in point. The Pirates just scored 2 runs with two outs in the 8th and they started yelling. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I can't watch the game here at work but I can imagine what they sound like. Is it Greg Brown ? He's probably the worst (but I believe the inventor of the Raise The Jolly Roger phrase after a win). | |
