| So I rarely turn on my computer these days. With my long work hours, and just recently moved and still living out of boxes, I just don't have time. I do a lot of surfing with my Kindle mostly. I just wonder if anyone else has this problem that I seem to have with my kindle. Every time I come to this site while on it, I get a lot of popups for porn sites, or dating sites, or whatever. Most times I can't even read this forum because I get these popups all the time. So I rarely even try to come here while on my kindle any more.
It's fine while on my computer, and even my cell phone, but soon as I try it on the old kindle, boom, I get porn lol Doesn't happen on any other site I visit on my kindle either, so not sure what the deal is. I almost think it has something to do with the advertisements on the top of the page maybe. Anyone else?

| I have a similar problem. Every time I'm looking for porn, my computer sends me here. It's why I'm on here so often! | |

| Maybe the site has a hidden porn section somewhere and we don't even know it, though to be fair, i used to have this problem with my old laptop that bit the dust and i would be just trying to find a download link for some obscure metal album and microshit would redirect me to some porn site (if i want a porn site I'LL SEARCH FOR ONE!). but that's probably one of the reasons why my old laptop kicked the solid bucket. so if your kindle has a problem you may need to get that checked out before it's TOO LATE!. | |

...and next you will be saying "porn" wasn't "porn in the 70's" because the females still had pubic hair. _________________

I actually did install adaware after visiting this site, because it said I got a virus. After installing it, I ran the program and everything was fine. Like I said this is the only site I visit that gives me any sort of trouble like that. There are others that don't get along with that format, but never virus type of things.

| I'd say it's becoming increasingly difficult to shell out the money to keep this forum online. Any provocative photo of the opposite sex will reduce these prudish piss-babies to a puddle, but they might have to get used to it when the administrators have no choice but to spam the forum with FuckBook ads to keep the lights on.
Then again, they might be f*cking loaded, who knows? But most forums I've been on struggle to an extent and have to request donations from the users.

| That's because the forum itself is on a free host, which means more ads and less security. |

| I do hope you can get your virus issues fixed soon. I would hate to see you kept off a forum that more or less caters to your demographic. Think of the benefits. You get to talk about how much the new Slayer album blew your mind, without all those horrible, young elitists breathing down your neck and saying they've been lackluster since 1992. At the same time, you can make some new friends who talk about the same five bands all the time. You also won't be seeing any posts about black metal or death metal here, so you've found a good place. |

There is, but you have to achieve the coveted Ultra Tr00 grimm kvlt Golden Circle membership level to access it. You should see the Midget Barnyard Amputee Snuff section. Haaaaawwwwt!! But seriously... I have been accessing this forum from a variety of devices (PCs, tablets, cell phones) since 2007. Never once have I encountered a virus warning or a pop up of any kind. So your guess is as good as mine. (shrugs) As for the other comments here about this board's "demographic" being "prudish," all I'm gonna say is: if ya don't like it, nobody is holding a gun to your head(s) and making you stay. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

Painkiller, you're such a masochist! Hears the way I see things, if I'm meeting new people in life, whether it be through an established relationship (work or outside of work) and those individuals don't meet a certain criteria, I simply remove myself from that. I don't say to myself, "You know what, I'm going to change everyone within that circle, to think like me and act like me." Painkiller, you're pretty much acting like a petulant child, with this whole elitism thing. The guys that started this board are both in their 40's. The people that gravitated towards these boards early on were primarily of the same demographic, though not all. I've never seen anyone on here whine as much about a place as yourself. Like Fat Freddy (Keith) has stated, nobody is asking you to stay and nobody begged you to come back!

That's nonsense. I'm not trying to change anyone at all. It's your choice to like whatever you want. I was pointing at the fact that there's mostly an interest in mainstream bands, and threads tend to get easily derailed by conflicts. It'd be nice to actually talk about more than just the same three bands or so. Anyway, I've been posting here less, but since someone's been accusing me of making alternative accounts, I had to have my say. That is all. |

It's one's choice to like what they want, yet there is this non sequitur comment within the last few hours. Stop being so thinned skin! I probably comment on a tenth of what roles through here. I don't go into a thread and whine and complain about bands that I don't like, genres that I don't like, people of certain ages who I don't like, etc... I would say this, either learn how to assimilate or there are other forums which cater to this utopian forum of non-elitism (which by the way, is all in your head) that you so ardently seek.

| There's a difference between offering criticism and "whining". At this point, you're the one doing much of the character assassination. Like I said, I haven't even been posting lately. I just came in to shoot down accusations made about me. |
