Fates Warning - Parallels (1991)

Time for another Fates Warning poll. Compared to the last five albums, Parallels is by far the band's poppiest album. This is where the Queensrÿche comparisons really apply, as "Eye to Eye" and "Point of View" make that quite apparent.

My first exposure to Fates Warning. I admittedly liked Ray Alder more than his predecessor, but as time went on, I learned to appreciate The Spectre Within and Awaken the Guardian as the definite classics that they are. I just listen to those two albums now, although the rest of the first six albums are still good. It's just that I genuinely don't care for a lot of the band's discography past Parallels.

Voted for "Point of View", because it's the catchiest one off the album.

I think I'll go with Life in Still Water as of right now, but i could choose any of them, tbh. This is one of my favorite albums of all time.

This is where I first heard them so I will pick Point Of View.

Too bad you're not continuing the FW polls. It would be interesting to hear your take on why those albums do not interest you.

The Eleventh Hour

Eye to Eye, the one that hit me first. This is my top 2 album of all time.

Eye To Eye

I like the first five songs a lot. It was tough to pick one, but I finally settled on "Point of View." I almost picked "The Eleventh Hour," but it just goes on a bit.

I picked Leave The Past Behind, but honestly they're probably all equally good to me. This is one of the few albums I'd consider pretty much perfect all the way through.

I picked Point Of View.

"Point of View", then followed by "Eye to Eye".

"Point of View" was rather boring, despite all the votes. I'm going with "Eye to Eye."
